Trump Confirms ICE in Airports Was His Idea, Compares it to Invention of the Paper Clip [WATCH]

While speaking to the press on Monday, President Trump confirmed that it was his idea to deploy ICE agents to airports to address congestion and long delays.

In a funny viral exchange, Trump compared the idea to the story of the paper clip.

“Whose idea was that to put ICE in the airports?” one reporter asked the POTUS.

“Mine. It was mine. That was like the paper clip. Do you know the story of the paper clip? 182 years ago, a man discovered the paper clip. It was so simple, everybody looked at it and said why didn’t I think of that?” Trump told reporters, confirming he called Tom Homan with the idea.

Trump also confirmed he asked ICE officers to remove masks while working at airports.

“I saw today that there were some masks on and I didn’t think that was appropriate… they should wear masks when dealing with the murderers and thugs let into our country,” Trump added.
