My Story

Now for some background. My name is Gabriel Dionisi and I’m a 23-year-old Catholic who is passionate about saving babies. When I was a teenager, I began learning more about abortion and was deeply disturbed by the scale of lives lost and the brutal methods used to kill a growing child.

Another fact that struck me is that most women who obtain abortions feel pressured into it by external circumstances – over 60% in one survey. So many of these mothers would choose life, if only they felt more supported in doing so.

I felt that I could, and should, do something to close this gap. So, I started making pro-life bumper stickers! Each sticker shows information for a 24/7 pregnancy help line, which offers counseling and connects women to life-affirming pregnancy centers in their communities.

Over the years, the ministry has grown considerably, especially after launching the website ProLifeStickers.com and receiving publicity in news outlets like EWTN. We’ve now shared over 30,000 bumper stickers with people in all 50 US States, including with numerous churches, pregnancy centers, 40 Days for Life campaigns, and Right to Life groups!

Lighting the Candle

Many wonderful pro-life people supported this mission and helped me to grow more broadly as a leader. One organization that made a big impact is Students for Life of America, which, starting in high school, helped to train me and showed me many ways that young people can make a difference for Life.

In college I became president of a Students for Life club, where we worked on educating our peers and helping mothers in need. Now as a recent graduate, I am working full-time for Students for Life to train and mobilize new pro-life leaders!

If there’s one piece of advice I can give, aside from bumper stickers, it’s to help bring more young people into the pro-life mission. Teenagers and young adults have time, energy, and fresh ideas that we need in order to shake up our status quo! I’m grateful that I joined this cause young, and I want more young people to have the joy of helping to save lives.
