President Donald Trump is telling supporters to approach the 2026 midterms as if he were personally on the ballot, making one of his clearest appeals yet for MAGA voters to turn out for Republican candidates.
Trump delivered the message on TRUTH Social after praising Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts for a Fox News appearance focused on polling and the Republican outlook heading into November. Roberts currently leads Heritage, the conservative policy organization that remains active on election, border and economic issues.
“Kevin Roberts, Heritage Foundation & Heritage Action President, and also a fabulous guy, was fantastic on Fox News this morning,” Trump wrote.

Trump said Roberts discussed what the president called “Fake Polls” and Republican prospects in the midterms.
“I’ll be out there spending money, and helping every one of them get elected,” he wrote.
Trump argued that his own performance in many of the states and districts Republicans are contesting gives the party a path to strong turnout in November.
“I won most of these places, often by a landslide,” he wrote.
Then came the message he wants MAGA voters to remember:
“MAGA, pretend I am on the ballot.”
Trump tied control of Congress directly to immigration and crime, warning supporters not to let Democrats “open your Borders, and allow crime to again flourish.”
“KEEP AMERICA GREAT!!!” Trump said.
The appeal comes as Republicans defend narrow congressional majorities in a midterm environment that historically creates problems for the president’s party.
Fox News reported last week that Republicans are battling the traditional midterm penalty while also dealing with voter concerns over inflation and energy costs.
