Bondi Announces DOJ Will Protect Parents Who Speak Out at School Board Meetings

The Biden Admin previously labeled vocal parents as domestic terrorists…

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed on Wednesday that the Justice Department will protect parents who speak out at school board meetings — a promise the Biden-era DOJ failed to deliver on.

“Parents of school-aged children should NEVER be treated like criminals for speaking at school board meetings,” Bondi said. “No more. @TheJusticeDept is restoring law & order and returning power to the PEOPLE we serve.”

“I am directing @FBI, our @CivilRights division, and all our U.S. Attorneys to uphold constitutional rights and parental authority in America’s education system. This DOJ stands with America’s parents.”

Bondi previously warned states and school boards not to trample the rights of parents when they speak out about education issues in a memo.

“The First Amendment guarantees the right of every citizen to speak freely, assemble peaceably, and petition the government for redress of grievances, including at public school board meetings,” she wrote in a memo to all 93 U.S. Attorneys. “These rights do not yield to political trends or bureaucratic convenience. While schools must maintain order, such authority cannot be used as a pretext to silence dissent or punish parents for expressing their views.”

Popular conservative news account Libs of TikTok shared the story, saying that the difference between the Biden DOJ and the Trump DOJ “couldn’t be more clear.”

“Biden’s DOJ labeled concerned parents ‘domestic t*rrorists’ and had the FBI investigate them. The contrast can’t be more clear. Democrats hate parents. They want to own your kids to groom them. Thank God Trump won!” LoTT said on X.
