9th Ex-Biden Aide Appears Before House Oversight in Autopen Probe: Report

The Oversight probe continues.

Former White House deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed met Tuesday with congressional investigators probing whether top Biden aides covered up signs of the former president’s mental decline.

Reed arrived just before 10 a.m., declining to speak to reporters ahead of the closed-door interview with House Oversight Committee staff.

Watch the clip below:

The longtime Biden ally is the ninth former White House official to appear in the probe and the sixth to do so voluntarily. Three others — former White House doctor Kevin O’Connor and ex-advisors Anthony Bernal and Annie Tomasini — were subpoenaed.

House Oversight Chair James Comer, R-Ky., is investigating whether President Biden’s inner circle concealed signs of cognitive decline—and whether autopen signatures were used to authorize executive actions without his full awareness. Investigators are especially focused on the flurry of clemency orders signed near the end of Biden’s presidency.
