The Brew: Order Is Returning to America’s Capital. The Pro-Crime Party Is Fuming

Well, today is a bad day if you’re a liberal who loves to defend crime in DC.

The Trump Derangement Syndrome is so off the charts in Washington, DC, that liberals are literally siding with criminals just to oppose President Trump. That’s how broken their spirits, morality, and politics are. They would rather see robbery, carjackings, and violent crime run rampant than admit Trump’s law-and-order plan is working.

It cites nonpartisan statistics to show the immediate impact of President Donald Trump’s decision to federalize law enforcement in the District of Columbia:

According to the DC Police Union:

Robbery: down 46%

Carjackings: down 83%

Car theft: down 21%

Violent crime overall: down 22%

Property crime: down 6%

All crimes: down 8%

Think about those stunning stats for a minute. The single most overwhelming crime in DC, carjackings, has plummeted by 83 percent, and it happened practically overnight, to boot. Robberies have been slashed in half. Violent crime across the board is down by nearly a quarter. This is an amazing success for Trump, but even more so for the people of DC who have been abandoned by their failed liberal leaders.

Of course the Democrats are unhappy. They offer a very different approach to crime:

Here’s one more crime prevented in Washington, D.C., as reported by Gateway Pundit:

On Monday, US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, announced the arrest of an Indiana/New York woman who traveled from New York to Washington DC to assassinate President Trump.

Nathalie Rose Jones, 50, of Lafayette, Indiana, was arrested in the District of Columbia on Saturday, August 16, and charged in connection with making a series of threats on social media in which she threatened to kill President Trump.

In a bold strategy for an assassin, Jones announced on Facebook and informed the FBI that she planned to “sacrificially kill and disembowel this POTUS by disemboweling [him] and cutting his trachea.”

Should we be surprised that the relevant Facebook post wasn’t removed, but as of now is still visible to the public?

ICE Ambush Mastermind Admits His Political Motive: Hatred for Trump

Sadly, politically motivated violence isn’t confined to lunatic fantasies. Some of it gets all too real. The Dallas Express reports on a terrorist incident aimed at courageous ICE officers trying to restore the rule of law and U.S. sovereignty:

Benjamin Song, who allegedly helped ambush an ICE facility near Fort Worth, has publicly admitted his radical-left motives.

The long-time Antifa member allegedly bought the guns used to attack the ICE Prairieland Detention Facility in Alvarado on July 4, The Dallas Express previously reported. He fled the scene, triggering a week-long FBI manhunt. Song had a long history with the militant Antifa group Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Song explicitly confirmed what The Dallas Express had uncovered: He was a radical leftist who hated President Donald Trump.

“I used to write off the accusations that the Republican Party was racist because here we are, this Asian family who are Republicans… Then you saw the racist rhetoric escalate in 2016 with Trump,” Song said in an interview with The Post from inside the Johnson County Jail. …

Song would eventually take part in the violent ambush on the ICE facility, where an Alvarado police officer was shot in the neck.

“I commit to the things I believe in,” Song told The Post.

Democrats Love Immigrants So Much, They Hand Them Over to Sex Traffickers

What kind of “sanctuary” does the Left offer the most innocent, helpless immigrants — children? In tens of thousands of cases, the kids got one-way tickets to sweatshop owners or sex traffickers, Gateway Pundit reports:

Newly released data from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), made public by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), reveals that the Biden regime handed over more than 11,000 migrant children to strangers who were never vetted, fingerprinted, or background-checked, in direct violation of federal law.

Even more disturbing, the regime skipped home studies for more than 79,000 children under the age of 12, abandoning basic child protection measures designed to keep kids safe from predators, traffickers, and criminals. …

A newly released letter from … HHS to Grassley reveals that the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) let 65,000 “Notices of Concern” pile up UNADDRESSED between 2021 and 2024.

These “Notices of Concern” include reports of missing children, abuse, neglect, sex trafficking, and organized crime connections. Federal law requires them to be acted on within 24 hours.

The next time some pastor tells you to “welcome the stranger,” remember what that all too often really means.

Is Peace Approaching for Ukraine?

So Volodmyr Zelenskyy was willing to put on a suit for his recent meeting with Trump — even if it was a black one with a black shirt and black tie that made him look like either a low-level gangster or one of Mussolini’s squadristi. We aren’t privy to what went on behind the scenes in that meeting, or Trump’s consultation with the European leaders he summoned to the White House earlier this week. But public statements suggest that a compromise peace may well be on the table. Remember, dear reader, what a compromise consists of: an outcome where every party walks away from the table unhappy because no one got everything he wanted.

CNBC reports:

Trump called Putin after discussing security guarantees for Ukraine during multi-phase talks with European leaders at the White House.

“I called President Putin, and began the arrangements for a meeting, at a location to be determined, between President Putin and President Zelenskyy,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“After that meeting takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself,” Trump said, calling it a positive “early step for a War that has been going on for almost four years.”

Trump said that he placed the call after the discussions at the White House with the Europeans, “which ended in a further meeting in the Oval Office.”

“During the meeting we discussed Security Guarantees for Ukraine, which Guarantees would be provided by the various European Countries, with a coordination with the United States of America,” Trump wrote.

A plausible outcome for the talks, based on what has emerged so far: Russia reclaiming historically Russian territory it has already conquered, a kibosh on talk of Ukraine joining NATO, but “security guarantees” in the form of Belgian or British soldiers stationed along the newly redrawn borders. No U.S. boots on the ground, no promise to go to war with a nuclear behemoth in Ukraine’s defense. That sounds like the least-bad option on the table — and it’s something Trump could have achieved in 2021, without a million casualties, if the election hadn’t been stolen.

Industry Officials: Biden Administration Ordered Us to Debank His Political Enemies

We have reported regularly on the financial attacks that targeted conservatives and Christians, ranging from Ambassador Sam Brownback to My Pillow’s Mike Lindell. Now Fox News confirms what most of us suspected — that banks and other companies were only following orders:

In the wake of President Donald Trump‘s executive order outlawing debanking, major bank executives told Fox News Digital that they were under pressure by the Obama and Biden administrations to deny services to individuals and businesses for political reasons….

“Those pressures were very, very real. When your regulator gives you a suggestion, it’s not a suggestion, it’s an order. The political stuff is very real, those pressures are real,” a senior banking executive told Fox News Digital.

The executives said that ambiguity in federal laws was exploited by regulators under the Obama and Biden administrations in order to pursue political objectives. According to one executive, banks were pressured to deny services to certain industries as part of Operation Choke Point and Operation Choke Point 2.0.

“When there’s ambiguity in the law, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and for a long time the beholder was the Obama and Biden administration,” the official said.

A House Oversight Committee report found that “Operation Choke Point,” a DOJ task force whose aim was to “choke out” legal companies disfavored by the Obama administration, worked with bank regulators to label certain industries, including firearms sales, as “high risk.”

The federal government “choking out” its political opponents by perverting the law … that’s how our Republic is supposed to work, isn’t it? It’s certainly the way they do things over in the People’s Republic of China.
