I’m tempted to say “Make it make SENSE!” and pretend to be confused. But I’m not — and no one else should be, either, as I’ll explain down below.
Multiple states and cities (not all of them blue) have laws protecting Pride flags from “desecration,” and people are doing jail time for blaspheming the cult of Sodom.
I’m sorry, but as long as this is the status quo, I’m not going to work myself into a state of hysteria about Trump’s executive order on burning the American flag pic.twitter.com/YCeHkaR2hC

A young mom has just been sentenced to jail for engaging in illegal speech. (Profanity in video — don’t click if you’ll be offended.)
Shiloh Hendrix has been charged in Rochester City, Minnesota, for defending her child against a Somali child:
“The charges would amount to a maximum of 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.”
Apparently, you can’t use certain words in Minnesota against certain people. pic.twitter.com/p0ZoJBambz

But President Donald Trump’s proposed executive order banning the burning of U.S. flags as part of extremist or pro-terrorist protests? That’s a jackboot stepping across the line into literal fascism, which violates the most sacred principles of freedom for which our ancestors died by the billions, principles so venerable that they date all the way back to one 5-4 Supreme Court decision delivered in 1989, authored by one of the justices who voted for Roe v. Wade.
Have you got it? Free speech is absolute and sacrosanct when we’re talking about violent porn, jihadi illegal immigrants calling for sharia law, anti-Christian blasphemy, tenured Marxists urging the violent overthrow of the U.S. government, and foreigners doxxing ICE officers to endanger their families. And Antifa brats burning the flag, of course.
But some things are off limits — like disrespecting the flag of Sodom and Gomorrah, or blurting out a racist word when your child is under attack. Because we’re a country of principles, a propositional nation. In fact, as things stand now we ought to admit that we’re a theocracy, a society governed by a dogmatic, intolerant religion.
It’s the post-Christian cult of diversity, where racial and sexual minorities must be venerated as fetishes and unbelievers will suffer.
I look forward to Democrats “fighting for freedom” by publicly burning flags — footage that will enable simply stellar GOP campaign commercials Meanwhile, if you want to confuse a liberal (or hapless libertarian), pose this question to him: “If burning a Pride flag is hate speech, isn’t burning a U.S. flag also hate speech? So do you favor restricting hate speech or not?” His reaction will be predictable: He’ll hate you and try to stop you from speaking.
Who Cracked the Barrel?
There has been a lot of talk on social media about the rebranding of Cracker Barrel — where woke executives have scrubbed the rural white guy from its logo, lavished support on Pride initiatives, and stripped out its homey Americana interiors in favor of a sterile, corporate look. The backlash against these changes has been intense because Americans resent haughty elites making yet another effort to socially engineer their lives. Elites who — let’s face it — don’t eat or shop at Cracker Barrel.
It’s Bud Lite all over again, and the company is justly suffering:

How do companies dig themselves into latrines that stink this bad? Fox News has the story, which replicates what happened at hundreds of other once-beloved companies:
Cracker Barrel’s slide into a rebranding debacle began with a phone call at 4:30 p.m. on May 16, 2024.
That day, Cracker Barrel’s new CEO, Julie Felss Masino, got on the phone with investors and unveiled the details of a “strategic transformation plan” her board of directors had approved. The first of “five pillars” in the plan would be “refining” and “evolving the brand across all touchpoints.”
Over the next months, Masino and her board of directors dismissed at least four warnings by a top investor, Sardar Biglari, that the rebranding was “obvious folly,” filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission reveal.
“Cracker Barrel is not a broken brand but it has a broken board,” he wrote, in a scathing seven-page letter to shareholders.
He laid out his criticisms in a 120-page slide-deck presentation with the title, “CRACKER BARREL IS IN CRISIS,” next to the company’s longtime logo of an old man in overalls leaning on a barrel – a logo that Masino would wipe out, unbeknownst to Biglari at the time. …
Fast-forward to August 2025. Cracker Barrel’s new look hit the public. Out went the iconic man-and-barrel logo that the chain had used since 1977. In came a text-only design and millions of dollars of in-store “modernization.”
The backlash was swift. Investor Chris Wunder, CEO of Leap Brands, an executive recruiting company with expertise in the restaurant industry, compared the rebranding to “taking a vintage Chevy and installing clown rims and a neon paint job.” He said flatly: “Maybe we should have let Sardar Biglari and Biglari Holdings Inc. take over.”
I was about to offer some parallels to Disney, but I realized a better parallel: my own Catholic church over the past 40 years. Cracker Barrel went full Vatican II. Never go full Vatican II.
UPDATE: In the time it took to prep and edit this Brew, Cracker Barrel has regained its senses, at least on its logo:

British Girl Defends Herself from Refugee Predator, Gets Hit with Weapons Charge
Remember when Barack Obama promised America a “fundamental transformation” so that ours could become a “normal country” like those in Western Europe? In case you were wondering what “norms” he had in mind, take a look at the state of Great Britain today:
- Pakistani rape gangs coddled by the police, who prosecute the victims for complaining
- Hundreds of Britons imprisoned for criticizing the government’s immigration policies
- Official campaigns to take down the country’s flag whenever patriots try to fly it.
Look at that map. No surprise but the Pakistani rape gangs are concentrated in industrial working class areas, especially in northern England.
The UK political establishment has let this happen bc the rape gangs target working class girls, whom the elites see as expendable. https://t.co/HfLrN62ZH8

Here’s the latest example of the British government persecuting its citizens and standing up for the foreign colonists it’s importing to replace them. La Derecha Diario reports:
On Saturday, August 24 in the afternoon, Police Scotland replied to St Ann Lane in Dundee after receiving several reports about a minor carrying bladed weapons.
According to authorities, at around 7:40 p.m. they received a report about the presence of an armed young woman in the area. Officers attended and a 14-year-old girl was charged in connection with the incident. She will be reported to the competent authorities.
According to images shared on social media, the teenager was with her 12-year-old sister when they confronted a man who had harassed them in a nearby parking lot, asking for one of their phone numbers and groping them.
The video footage shows the older girl holding a machete and the younger one wielding an axe, adopting a defensive stance that forces the individual to retreat. Toward the end of the video, the man speaks in Arabic, which has reinforced the media identification that he is an Islamist immigrant.
The arrest of the minor, instead of the alleged aggressor, sparked a strong reaction on digital platforms.
Here’s the incident on video (profanity, sorry!):

Key Witness for Biden DOJ in January 6 Persecution Recants His Story
Speaking of criminal governments persecuting their own people by weaponizing the law and selectively prosecuting some groups, but not others, can we talk about January 6? LindellTV reports:
BREAKING: Biden DOJ’s Star J6 Witness Recants
A key witness used by @JoeBiden’s DOJ to secure “seditious conspiracy” convictions against the Proud Boys has officially recanted.

Somebody needs to get this memo to Attorney General Pam Bondi, who’s on the wrong side of this case, as CNN reports:
The Justice Department is asking a federal court to dismiss a lawsuit brought against it by members of the Proud Boys who claim their convictions related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack were the result of “political prosecution.”
In a court filing Monday, the Justice Department argued the lawsuit should be tossed out for reasons including that “the malicious prosecution claim lacks merit; and the United States is not liable for punitive damages.”
DOJ’s defense of the prosecutions, however, appears to go against what Republicans and President Donald Trump’s allies have long argued: that the hundreds of cases brought against people who participated in the January 6 attack often amounted to political persecution from Joe Biden’s Justice Department because they targeted Trump supporters.
Enrique Tarrio, the former leader of the Proud Boys, Joseph Biggs, Ethan Nordean, Zachary Rehl and Dominic Pezzola sued the government in June for $100 million, claiming their prosecutions amounted to an “egregious and systemic abuse of the legal system and the United States Constitution to punish and oppress political allies of President Trump, by any and all means necessary, legal, or illegal.”
