Pope Leo publishes his first book

Compiled under the title Let There Be Peace! Words to the Church and to the World, the 160-page book, released by Libreria Editrice Vaticana, is now available in Italian, English, and Spanish, and contains the complete collection of Pope Leo’s speeches during the first weeks of his pontificate, “through which we can better understand the pontiff from his own words.” In the book’s first pages, the pontiff touches on peace, self-effacement, and reconciliation, saying that “our first great desire” is “a united Church, a sign of unity and communion, which would become leaven for a reconciled world.”
