In strong, diverse Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Democrats serve as both mayor and governor, Christians cowered yesterday while another transgender terrorist, fueled by hatred, opened fire on them. The shooter wasn’t a Muslim, and he wasn’t a rural white guy like the Cracker Barrel mascot, but he did suffer fromTrump Derangement Syndrome:

The attack took place at Assumption Catholic Church, and two children among the 22 victims had already been reported dead at presstime. The killer took the coward’s way out and shot himself as well.

Today’s killing of Christian children at a church in Minneapolis occurred in the context of a surge in far-left trans propaganda encouraging Trantifa and other leftists to take up arms to kill transphobes and “fascists.”

This isn’t the first or even second time a transgender person has gone full terrorist. A pattern is emerging: As schools and governments encourage gender dysphoria among the young via drag queen story hours (a “blessing of liberty” according to David French), and clinics rake in millions dosing preteens with sterilizing hormones and removing their healthy body parts, more and more proof is emerging to confirm what we already knew: Transgenderism isn’t a genuine sexual identity.
Nobody’s “born that way.” It’s a mental illness actively promoted by the Left, which sees among its troubled ranks potential fanatical activists — alienated not just from their families and society, but from their very own bodies. We’re seeing plenty of anecdotal evidence that giving already mentally unstable people large quantities of exogenous cross-sex hormones makes them homicidal.

I’ve warned before that this won’t end well. The same society that cheerfully aborts three-quarters of unborn babies diagnosed with Down Syndrome could very easily turn on these tormented, expensive, increasingly aggressive souls. It could happen on a dime, and then we Christians will have to be the ones to step forward to protect our one-time tormentors. And as Christ commands, we will do it.

The Department of Homeland Security reports a massive seizure of illegal drugs:
Monday, the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton offloaded over 76,000 pounds of illegal drugs, valued at $473 million, at Port Everglades, Florida as part of Operation Pacific Viper. This offload included approximately 61,740 pounds of cocaine and approximately 14,400 pounds of marijuana.
This is the largest drug offload in Coast Guard history.
This is the first major offload of Operation Pacific Viper, a historic partnership between the Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy that is surging forces to the Eastern Pacific to cut off drugs and human smuggling before they ever reach American shores. As part of this operation, the Coast Guard conducted 19 interdictions in international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea. They are defending the Homeland with overwhelming force.
With a lethal dose of cocaine being as little as 1.2 grams, the amount offloaded by Hamilton’s crew is enough to potentially kill 23 million people.
Imagine if President Donald Trump got the bright idea of taking those drugs and selling them to the public at market rates to help reduce the federal deficit. That would be a much better idea than the proposal Trump offered a few days ago: to let 600,000 more students from China take up valuable slots in our college’s tech programs, and (Trump opined) help keep marginal colleges from going out of business. As Mediate reports:
At a Tuesday White House cabinet meeting, Trump was asked for clarification on the country’s policy about student visas for Chinese students. The president promised 600,000 Chinese students would be admitted into the country on student visas. This is in spite of the fact that Secretary of State Marco Rubio previously promised to “aggressively” revoke visas of Chinese nationals with ties to the Chinese Community Party.
“We’re getting along very well with China. And I’m getting along very well with President Xi Jinping. I think it’s very insulting to say, you — students can’t come here. Because they’ll go out and they’ll start building schools, and they will be able to survive it,” the president said.
According to Trump, U.S. colleges will “go to hell” without the importing of foreign students.
“I like that their students come here, I like it that other countries’ students come here — and you know what would happen if they didn’t? Our college system would go to hell very quickly,” he said. “You’d have — and it wouldn’t be the top colleges, it would be colleges that struggle on the bottom. And you take out 300,000 or 600,000 students out of the system, I like having — and I told this to President Xi — that we’re honored to have these students here.”
Keep in mind that as a condition of studying abroad, every one of those students must sign a pledge to collect intelligence on behalf of China’s totalitarian government — our biggest enemy abroad, infamous for stealing U.S. technology and intellectual property.

Vanity Fair Staff Threaten Walkout Over Melania Trump Cover
Oh, Bre’r Fox, don’t throw me in that there br’er patch! Wouldn’t it be tragic if smear-peddling Leftist magazine Vanity Fair saw its cossetted editors quit — in a deadly job market for print journalists — just because they can’t veto positive content about Trump? Fox News and The Daily Mail report that such a confrontation is under way:
One Vanity Fair editor expressed outrage at First Lady Melania Trump being potentially featured on the magazine’s cover, according to the Daily Mail.
The UK outlet reported that several anonymous staffers claimed there would be a meltdown at the fashion magazine if global editorial director Mark Guiducci went through with his idea of putting Trump on its cover.
“I will walk out the motherf—– door, and half my staff will follow me,” one editor told the outlet….
Speaking to the Daily Mail, one staffer said their objection was political: “We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right.”
The editor added they would risk their careers over the decision and predicted that many in the newsroom would also leave: “If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it.”
If all Vanity Fair editors do that, it will give everyone one more reason to shop at (the excellent!) Trader Joe’s: to gloat.
“Christ of the Abyss” Restored
In some happier news, Italy’s government has restored a beautiful statue of Christ that sits at the bottom of the sea. No, it wasn’t on a ship that sank. It was built there, on purpose. Gateway Hispanic reports:
