The craziest of the far-left crazy hate-Trump celebrities will find herself in court if leftist celebrity lawyer Alan Dershowitz has anything to say about it.
He thinks President Donald Trump must sue crackpot expatriate comedienne Rosie O’Donnell for claiming that Trump paid deceased rapist and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein $1 billion.
Dershowitz said the claim, which O’Donnell made to former CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta, fits the bill for Trump to sue O’Donnell for defamation … and win. For O’Donnell knows the comments are false and she made them with malice.
🚨NEW: Alan Dershowitz says he'd be "HAPPY TO HELP SUE ROSIE O'DONNELL" for falsely claiming Trump paid Epstein $1B🚨
"She is a despicable liar and defamer of people — and she shouldn't be allowed to get away with it."

O’Donnell Dives Off the Deep End
O’Donnell delivered an unhinged rant when Acosta invited her commentary about Trump’s name appearing in the notorious Epstein files.
“We still don’t know why his name appears multiple times” in the files, Acosta said.
“We do know why, Jim,” O’Donnell began. “We all know why”:
You have to know why. Why else do you think he paid a billion dollars to Jeffrey Epstein over the time of their friendship? … If this was an Angela Lansbury Murder, She Wrote people would be, “It’s too obvious.” It’s so obvious that he is guilty as sin.
But O’Donnell didn’t stop with the kooky conspiracy theory that Trump paid Epstein $1 billion.
“We have to do something, America…. Wake up. Our president is a serial pedophile rapist,” she continued:
And that’s what he is. And in America you’re allowed to have an opinion. You’re allowed to say what you think. That’s what our country was founded on.
Dershowitz: Time for a Lawsuit
Dershowitz helpfully corrected O’Donnell not only on the false $1 billion claim, but also on just what “our country was founded on” relative to free speech.
Newsmax talker Lidia Curanaj asked the Harvard law professor emeritus whether Trump could sue O’Donnell given that he is a public figure. To win a defamation lawsuit, public figures must show that the defendant uttered a falsehood with malice and in reckless disregard for the truth; i.e., that the defendant knew the claim was false and uttered it out of personal animus. The U.S. Supreme Court created that standard for public figures in its New York Times v. Sullivan decision in 1964.
“Of course she could be sued,” Dershowitz said:
And there was malice there. And I would be happy to help sue Rosie O’Donnell. She is a despicable liar and defamer of people. And she shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it. She’s now moved out of the country. She hates America. She hates American politicians, and she ought to be sued. I hope she is sued. And I volunteer pro bono to help out anybody who wants to sue Rosie O’Donnell on behalf of the president.
As well, he noted, O’Donnell “is not above the law and the president is not below the law. He has the right to sue for defamation if he can demonstrate malice. And I think the malice in this case is very clear.”
Asked what the damages in such a lawsuit would be, Dershowitz replied “everything she’s worth.”
Then Dershowitz explained the facts, noting that Trump’s “reputation is at stake”:
He didn’t pay $1 billion to Jeffrey Epstein. I was Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyer. I know about the relationship between Trump and Epstein. It ended early on in time. I’ve seen many of the records. There’s nothing to inculpate Trump in any way.
And she just is lying through her teeth because she hates Donald Trump. So she’s willing to make up stories. That’s not what the First Amendment was designed to protect. It was not designed to protect people who make up false stories. Even Thomas Jefferson made it clear … that freedom of speech is not a license to maliciously lie about public figures.
Citizenship in Jeopardy
After Trump shellacked Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, O’Donnell left the country for Ireland, where she can become a citizen because her grandparents are Irish. She didn’t think America was a “safe” country with another Trump presidency beginning.
“When it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back,” the washed-up comedienne said.
Last week, writing on Truth Social, Trump threatened — not for the first time — to revoke O’Donnell’s American citizenship:
As previously mentioned, we are giving serious thought to taking away Rosie O’Donnell’s Citizenship. She is not a Great American and is, in my opinion, incapable of being so!

60 Minutes Australia asked the far-left expatriate about that potential problem, The Daily Beast reported.
“That’s against the Constitution as of now,” she said. Then again, “he has pawns in the Supreme Court and you never know what he’d be able to do, right?”
Trump first threatened O’Donnell on July 12.
“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,” he wrote on Truth Social:
She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
