Screwtape Wants Racial Hatred and Chaos, But We Will Cling to Christ

I’ve said it here before: Satan doesn’t care if we enter Hell by the left staircase or the right, so long as we end up with him. With the cleverness of a chess master, he moves his human pieces — those who serve him either consciously or unconsciously — to drive us like pawns into one trap or another.

In past centuries, he used religious differences between Christian denominations to goad souls into hatred and cruel acts of persecution, made worse because clergy approved them. People were tortured or burned alive in the name of the gentle Jesus of Nazareth. How many souls did the enemy harvest by turning apostles into inquisitors? I shudder to think. They went to Hell by what we might call the Right door, the path of self-righteousness and intolerance.

That tactic outlived its usefulness as people grew weary of hating their family members and neighbors over sincere religious differences. So the enemy used that exhaustion to foster unbelief, indifference, and cynicism. He cited the horrors of past religious persecution to convince people that faith was just an illusion, a pretext for violence and hatred. So they should abandon the Gospel altogether in favor of “Enlightened” skepticism. That was the Left door to damnation, and countless people chose it.

Next he turned to rabid nationalism, goading people to worship their own ethnic or racial identities as idols while scapegoating outsiders and aliens — another Right staircase leading down. To those who wearied of wars and ethnic cleansing, the enemy unfurled a shining, hopeful alternative: globalist, atheist Marxism which promised a secular heaven on Earth. The genocides leaders committed in service of that utopia actually dwarfed the death tolls of the ultranationalists. 

And Screwtape was very well pleased. So long as people put their faith in something, anything other than the lordship of Jesus Christ, he doesn’t care what we worship or which causes we sign up to serve. When globalists jump in bed with the Deep State, paint their churches in rainbow colors, and rake in billions of taxpayer dollars via illegal immigration in the name of “diversity” and “justice,” that suits him fine.

But Satan will gladly accommodate you if you’d prefer to sign up for racist tribalism, eugenics, and ethnic hatred. He’s just a tolerant guy, respectful of lifestyle choices. There’s no kink-shaming in his kingdom.

As we digest the news of the day, let’s keep in the front of our minds the fact that we have an enemy who tricks the Left into sins to provoke equal and opposite sins over on the Right, with a firm goal fixed in his icy master strategist’s mind: our eternal doom. Pray for God’s guidance and ask the Good Shepherd to grant you a heart just like His own.

And with that prayer on our hearts, let’s turn to the grim, divisive events that are pummeling our country. 

The Judicial Murder of Iryna Zarutska

Who is really responsible for the death of Iryna Zarutska — a harmless, innocent refugee from Ukraine? Obviously, in the most direct sense, the responsible party is the deranged antiwhite racist who stabbed her without provocation for “reading his mind.” But this disaster has many fathers and a depressing collection of mothers.

First and foremost, let’s ask why Zarutska was in a grim, crime-ridden U.S. city instead of Ukraine? Because of the war Joe Biden provoked, having wrecked Russia-U.S. relations and derailed peace negotiations as part of the Russia collusion hoax intended to shove Donald Trump out of office. 

The homicide rate in Charlotte, NC is 12 per 100k.
The homicide rate in Kyiv, Ukraine is about 8.5 per 100k, and that counts all Kyiv residents killed in Russian air strikes over the last year. (Before the war it was ~4 per 100k)

Why was a violent schizophrenic running loose on the streets and commuter trains of Charlotte, North Carolina? Because of massive efforts the radical Left funded to “reduce prison populations” in the name of alleged “racial justice.” 

And there you have it.

Who set the killer, DeCarlos Brown, free to menace honest citizens? A “diversity” appointee with no qualifications to serve on the judicial bench — apart from being a black lesbian whose spouse profits from courts turning drug addicts loose on the community.

Of course, the enemy of our souls wants to use this atrocity to stoke racial hatred and division. His faithful servants over at Black Lives Matter have stepped up to help with that (be warned, there’s mild profanity in this clip):

Demonic rhetoric coming from BLM and its allies only encourages white people to cite the grim statistics of interracial violence in our country, which overwhelmingly point one way:

Of course the answer to such horrors is not to introduce more division and resentment to our country by fostering white tribalism or scorn for black Americans. It’s to crack down on crime relentlessly in a color-blind fashion, keeping in mind that nonwhite Americans are much more likely to be victims of crime than the perpetrators.

Black Americans need to stop supporting activists who pretend that pro-crime policies are somehow pro-black. They aren’t, and it’s poisonously racist to say so. Violent offenders shouldn’t get a pass from black tribalists or white liberals just because of the color of their skin. If that keeps happening, we will see the sudden and irresistible rise of white nationalism — at first in self-defense and then in full demonic flower.

And Screwtape will sneer, flinging wide his doors both Left and Right.
