Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is asking Dr. Anthony Fauci to come out of hiding and answer for new evidence indicating he lied to Congress when he testified under oath that he didn’t direct federal employees to delete Covid-related communications.
Paul is the chair of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. The committee is still investigating the origins of Covid-19 and digging for more information on dangerous government-conducted research, Paul announced in his letter to Fauci.
“During the course of its investigation, the Committee has obtained records revealing that you directed employees of the National Institutes [of] Health (NIH) to destroy federal records,” Paul wrote.
In December 2022, Fauci retired after 38 years as the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). By that point, he had become the face of the tyrannical policies leveled against the American people in the name of stopping the spread of Covid-19. Before Fauci retired, Paul was among the most aggressive legislators to confront him, especially about his persistent falsehoods that the NIH didn’t conduct gain-of-function research. Evidence shows that NIH was doing so through EcoHealth Alliance.
Gone, but Not Forgotten
Fauci may have retired, but Paul has not forgotten about him. “Freshly released emails expose another layer of the Fauci COVID Coverup,” Paul said in a social media post on Wednesday.
Paul sent a letter stamped with Tuesday’s date asking Fauci to appear before the Committee no earlier than October 28. Paul said:
The Committee has obtained records revealing that you directed employees of the National Institutes [of] Health (NIH) to destroy federal records. These documents suggest your direct involvement in efforts to conceal information related to the Committee’s investigation and appear to contradict your previous testimony before Congress.
Sen. Paul documented multiple incidences in which, on June 3, 2024, Fauci “unequivocally denied under oath ever deleting official records.” It turns out that wasn’t true. “Emails obtained by the Committee appear to contradict your testimony,” Paul writes. In a Feb. 2, 2020 email to then-NIH director Dr. Francis Collins, Paul alleged, Fauci told his boss to “please delete this e-mail after you read it.” A few months later, in a July 20, 2020 email to another NIH employee, Fauci wrote, “I do not want to engage any more with this nonsense. And so please delete this e-mail after you read it.”
Records Requested
Paul believes Fauci has other records and communications related to the investigation. And he wants them. The committee will use those records to figure out the origins of Covid-19 and the pervasiveness of gain-of-function research, and to help shape future legislation aimed at ensuring that America doesn’t turn into communist China the next time another virus emerges.
The committee is demanding:
- All email addresses, phone numbers, and messaging app usernames Fauci used between January 2018 and January 2023;
- All emails Fauci sent or received between January 2018 and January 2023, on work or personal devices, that are related to or mention “NIH, HHS, CIA, FBI, DOD, COVID-19, the “Proximal Origins” paper, the Wellcome Trust, Jeremy Farrar, the P3CO Review Group, gain-of-function research, dual use research of concern, EcoHealth Alliance, Peter Daszak, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Ian Lipkin, Ralph Baric, Zhengli Shi, the DEFUSE proposal, DARPA, DTRA, USAID PREDICT, the Rocky Mountain Laboratory, Vincent Munster, Fort Detrick, the Integrated Research Facility, the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID), or the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC); and
- All communications between Fauci and Francis Collins, Hugh Auchincloss, Vincent Munster, Kristian Andersen, Andrew Rambaut, Edward Holmes, Robert Garry, or Samantha Power.
Relationship to Biodefense
The records Paul is asking for indicate he is working to establish a clearer picture of the relationship between Covid-19 and America’s vast biodefense apparatus.
While most Americans are familiar with the FBI and CIA, they are likely not as aware of the other acronymous agencies. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is a major player in cutting-edge research and projects. According to research by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his bestselling book The Real Anthony Fauci, DARPA has “funneled” $1.7 billion into Fauci’s NIAID’s annual budget “to launder sketchy funding for biological research.” Military planners at DARPA, along with those at the CIA, also helped finance gain-of-function research — and they did it through USAID, according to Kennedy. USAID, the Establishment media has told the public, is just an agency that helps alleviate poverty in less-fortunate countries. Beginning of the Coverup
On September 13, 2023, Dr. Peter McCullough gave a speech in France on the dangers of the mRNA Covid-19 injection. During the speech, he threw out some of the same names and organizations Paul flagged for communications that his committee wants:
There was an investigation by the [World Health Organization, WHO] on the origins of SARS-CoV-2. That’s when the beginning of the coverup began. Rear Admiral Brett Jarrar in the United States nominated three independent scientists to go to Wuhan and figure out what was going on. It has since come out in congressional hearings that Anthony Fauci; Francis Collins; Jeremy Farrar — previously at the Wellcome Trust, now the chief scientist at the WHO — Kristian Andersen, Ph.D. at Scripps; Dr. Edward Holmes in Sydney; and Dr. Peter Daszak at the EcoHealth Alliance all conspired in January of 2020 to cover up what they knew; namely, that the virus was engineered in a joint U.S.-Chinese collaboration in the lab in Wuhan, China. They deceived the world with 12 subsequent papers in the peer-reviewed literature. These papers were quarterbacked by Jeremy Farrar, who was rewarded with a new job as the chief scientist at the WHO.
In July, Paul referred Fauci for criminal prosecution to Attorney General Pam Bondi for lying under oath when he testified May 2021 about gain-of-function research, writing:
I write to renew my previous requests for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to open an investigation into … Fauci’s testimony before the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions on May 11, 2021.
Biden’s Pardon Not Valid?
In a press release on the matter, he invoked the pardon Fauci received from Joe Biden’s administration. “This most recent request stems from new allegations that call into question the validity of Dr. Fauci’s purported pardon.” In the letter, Paul brings up the possibility that Biden’s pardon of Fauci may not be legitimate:
New information has revealed that these pardons were executed via autopen, with no documented confirmation that the President personally reviewed or approved each individual grant of clemency. According to reports, White House staff authorized the use of the autopen to issue the clemency documents. This raises serious constitutional and legal concerns about the legitimacy of Dr. Fauci’s pardon.
Will Fauci finally face justice? Sen. Paul appears to be doing his best to bring that about. But so far, no one has faced any consequences for the litany of lies, civil liberty violations, and carnage of that dark period.
Fauci was the face of America’s response to Covid-19: He advocated that Americans wear cloth face masks despite knowing it would do nothing to contain the microbial virus. He pushed a six-foot distancing rule he later admitted had no basis in science; he supported isolation and the shuttering of thousands of businesses across the nation; he lied that there was no credible evidence the virus came from a lab; he conspired with others within the government to create a very specific (and false) narrative. He also conspired to silence those who challenged the approved story. And, as we continue learning, he likely lied about the kind of research the government was funding.
Unconstitutional Devastation
Fauci’s power to dictate policies for all Americans showed why the framers of the U.S. Constitution did not provide the federal government with permission to meddle in matters of health and pandemics. The federal health behemoth enabled Fauci and the forces guiding him to broadly devastate the country with arbitrary, senseless, yet very detrimental rules. A majority of local health departments enforced the CDC’s unsubstantiated guidelines, which were dialed up by Fauci and his merry band of medical tyrants. Those guidelines devastated the nation’s collective health and economy. And it wouldn’t have happened if the federal government had had no say on matters of public health.
