What’s unfolding now in congressional hearings is the exposure of something infinitely worse than a bungled burglary of a campaign headquarters that everyone knew Richard Nixon hadn’t authorized, and his clueless coverup. What we’re seeing now is more like the moment in The Exorcist where an innocent little girl reveals that she’s possessed by deathless spirits of evil. We’re seeing that the agencies supposed to protect our ordered liberty were turned into the Gestapo.
The FBI spying on sitting U.S. senators. Combat veteran former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard tailed by U.S. marshals on flights for years. Plans to imprison Donald Trump if he lost the election. The trail of lawless abuses goes on an on, beginning with Obama’s spying on 2016 GOP presidential candidates, and ending with the January 6 witchhunt that made the “Red Scare” look like a middle-school Christmas pageant. the tale of a burned out revolutionary (DiCaprio) who endeavors to save his daughter (Chase Infiniti) from a white nationalist military officer (Sean Penn) …. The film opens with a celebratory raid on an ICE facility to free detainees, and shows government agents coldly executing unarmed suspects and sending an undercover agent into a peaceful protest to throw a Molotov cocktail to justify increased force. …
“You can make excuses for it, but basically the [film is] an apologia for radical left-wing terrorism, that’s what it is,” said Ben Shapiro, who predicted the film will win “all the Academy Awards” due to its politics. “It has the subtlety of a brick … The basic suggestion is a conspiracy theory in which the United States is run by white supremacist Christian nationalists and all people of color and a few nice incompetent fellow travelers like [DiCaprio’s character] are going to take on that entire system. And that system must be taken on at the cost of family, at the cost of friendship, at the cost of decency, at the cost of basic human capacity for success. Leftist Terrorist Arrested with Bombs Outside Sunday Service for U.S. Supreme Court
The radically-minded and unstable aren’t deaf to messages sent by films like that one. Gateway Pundit reports on the latest outrage that seems like something out of Guatemala in the 1980s — except that it’s our nation’s capital, this past Sunday, at the city’s Catholic cathedral:
Another deranged leftist was arrested Sunday outside of St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Washington, D.C., before a mass for the Supreme Court.
Several SCOTUS Justices were likely to attend the special mass.
Leftist Louis Geri was positioned outside the cathedral in a tent filled with 200 explosives, containers filled with chemicals, and a manifesto.
Geri told police, “You might want to stay back and call the federales, I have explosives,” according to an affidavit.
A member of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Bomb Squad then told him he needed to move because of a special event.
He replied, “I’m aware of that (referring to the Red Mass),” police wrote, and threatened to throw a bomb into the street as a demonstration, adding, “I have a hundred plus of them.”
Police said they would remove him against his will, and he replied, “Several of your people are gonna die from one of these.”
Why shouldn’t those who hate the way the Supreme Court has been ruling feel emboldened? The man who tried to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh got a slap on the wrist sentence of seven years — and a judge who offered her support for his transgender “transition.”
Is Islam Now the Official Religion of Spain? Criticizing it Earns a Prison Term for a Priest
We’ve reported here before on dozens of British citizens being arrested every day for social media posts critical of Islam or Muslim immigrants. Now Spain is on on the action, and is actually targeting a priest. Lifesitenews reports:
Sentencing for a Spanish priest who this past week was found guilty of making “Islamophobic” comments more than seven years ago has Catholics as well as free speech advocates concerned.
In February, Father Custodio Ballester was summoned by a regional court in Spain to respond to charges that he had committed a “hate crime” for calling attention to the unjust treatment Christians receive in Islamic majority countries.
Ballester, who serves as a parish priest in Barcelona, was charged with violating Spanish law in 2020 when the state prosecutor in Catalonia claimed that an article Ballester wrote in 2016 titled “The Impossible Dialogue with Islam” met the criteria of a “hate crime.”
Ballester wrote his essay in response to a pastoral letter by his superior, the archbishop of Barcelona, Cardinal Juan José Omella, titled “The Necessary Dialogue with Islam.” In his rebuttal, Ballester wrote: “This new reactivation of Christian-Muslim dialogue, paralyzed by the alleged ‘imprudences’ on the part of the late Pope Benedict XVI, is very far from becoming a reality. Islam does not allow dialogue. For Islam, either you believe, or you are an infidel who must be subdued one way or another.”
Ballester has also previously made remarks critical of LGBT ideology….
When previously asked whether he was prepared to spend three years in prison if convicted, Ballester said: “It doesn’t seem right to be convicted for something I’ve said, but in Spain anything is possible. But if I am convicted, this will no longer be Spain but Pakistan, where you can be killed for blaspheming the Koran or Mohammed.”
“There is no longer any true right to free speech in Spain,” he added.
