In the past four months, two separate medical emergencies have occurred at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Denver — yet local authorities and the abortion industry have seemingly worked very hard to hide the details.
June 11, 2025: “Trouble Breathing”
On the afternoon of June 11, 2025, Denver Emergency Communications received a 911 dispatch to Planned Parenthood for a 34-year-old woman experiencing “trouble breathing.” The Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) report lists her complaint plainly — difficulty breathing — a red flag signifying respiratory distress, possible cardiopulmonary collapse, or a related life-threatening emergency.
Operation Rescue submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for the full dispatch audio and the complete CAD file. The City of Denver responded with a partial release: a redacted CAD summary withholding details such as caution notes and other remarks. The crucial 911 audio recording was denied entirely, with Denver invoking its classification of certain 911 records as “criminal justice” records, thereby exempting them from public disclosure under local statutes.

The redactions leave only the minimal skeleton of what allegedly occurred.
“This approach is consistent with a growing pattern of state and county officials shielding abortion clinics from scrutiny,” said Sarah Neely, Chief Operating Officer for Operation Rescue.

August 29, 2025: Dispatch Code “37C01”
A second, more mysterious incident occurred some weeks later involving a 46-year-old woman at the same Planned Parenthood location. The publicly released dispatch CAD shows the chief complaint field entirely redacted. Yet in the dispatch-level metadata, the call is classified under “37C01,” a code denoting “acute onset of priority symptoms.”
That code is reserved for sudden symptoms that indicate a potential life-threatening emergency — sudden chest pain, severe bleeding, collapse, or other unexpected acute medical events. It is seldom used for routine or minor complaints.
The dispatch logs also show multiple comments, but the document does not reveal what the symptom was, what treatment was given, or what the patient’s condition was afterward.
Once more, a FOIA request yielded only a heavily-redacted CAD summary and a blanket denial of the 911 audio, citing the same Denver law classifying such material as “criminal justice” records. The city claimed it must withhold audio unless prior release authorization from the caller is granted.

Protecting the Abortion Industry?
These two emergencies raise serious questions:
- Why are critical parts of the written CAD records so heavily redacted?
- Why are entire audio files withheld, even though audio files are otherwise routinely released in other states with personal names and identifiers easily redacted?
- Why does the city invoke “criminal justice” exemptions for medical emergencies, but not crimes? Are there real criminal cases for these incidents?
- Do these redactions and denials disproportionately benefit Planned Parenthood by suppressing evidence of medical complications from their abortions?
Neely commented, “Colorado does not require any abortion clinic to undergo inspection or maintain a health license from the state – no other ambulatory centers are allowed such privilege. Now it seems Denver is engaging in a protective cover-up for an unregulated, unlicensed Planned Parenthood that has repeatedly sent patients to the ER.”
Operation Rescue has confronted similar patterns in past cases, exposing clinics and municipalities willing to systematically obscure records of emergency calls that would verify repeated abortion complications, injuries, or near-misses.
“These ‘sanitized’ versions of CAD reports and repeated refusals to release audio recordings severely limit public access to the full facts,” adds Neely. “Moreover, the repeated classification of 911 records as ‘criminal justice’ records appears to be a legal sleight of hand, converting otherwise public health welfare and EMS records into closed-door materials. It seems a very deliberate tactic to prevent independent scrutiny and discourage pro-life groups from fully exposing the risks of abortion – which the public deserves to know about”
What about Women’s Rights?
These incidents involve real women in real medical distress — events serious enough to prompt 911 emergency calls, EMS dispatches, and ambulance transports which bear the hallmarks of life-threatening emergencies.
In both of these new cases, the patients presented acute symptoms that could indicate internal hemorrhage, cardiovascular compromise, or procedural complications.
However, when Planned Parenthood operates behind a veil of municipal protection, bureaucratic red tape, impenetrable redactions, and unverifiable “criminal justice” claims, the risk soars while women are reduced to mere statistics or liabilities rather than humans with rights and persons deserving real medical accountability.
