Tell Nevada Lawmakers to Defund Planned Parenthood

We’re in the middle of a chaotic special session, and Nicole Cannizzaro is trying to quietly slip a major change into SB5 that would direct over $1.1 MILLION of Nevada taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood.

This is happening fast and she’s relying on the confusion to push it through unnoticed.

Here’s the truth:

• Nevada has over 60 federally funded Community Health Centers that already provide the services Cannizzaro claims are “critical” — primary care, prenatal care, cancer screenings, women’s health, mental health, pediatrics, chronic disease treatment, and more.
• These clinics treat the whole woman and serve every corner of the state, without pushing abortion services.
• But SB5 contains a hidden provision recommending that at least 2% of the new healthcare recruitment fund be directed to entities listed under Section 71113 — a maneuver that would divert state dollars directly to abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood.

Cannizzaro is using outdated talking points to justify funneling tax dollars to abortion providers… while holding Nevada’s crippled healthcare system hostage in the process.
