Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers Spent $452 Million Helping Pregnant Women

This month, the Charlotte Lozier Institute, Care Net, Heartbeat International, the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, and the Option Ultrasound Program by Focus on the Family released CLI’s 2025 pregnancy help center report. This is the fourth such report the Charlotte Lozier Institute has published since 2017.

The report summarizes the most recent findings about the lifesaving work done by the approximately 2,775 pregnancy help centers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The report, “Pregnancy Centers: Rising to the Occasion with Unwavering Care,” provides both data and testimonials highlighting the positive impact that pro-life pregnancy help centers had in 2024. That year, the centers saw more than 1 million new clients and provided goods and services valued at over $452 million to women, youth, and families. The pregnancy centers were assisted by more 18,000 paid staffers and 47,000 volunteers. Impressively, 98 percent of those who sought help from a pro-life pregnancy help center reported a positive experience.

The report also shows that pregnancy help centers have expanded their impact. Since 2022, there was a 4 percent increase in clients, a 16 percent increase in ultrasounds, and an 18 percent increase in tests for sexually transmitted infections. There was also a 16 percent increase in the number of women seeking post-abortion support. Additionally, between 2022 and 2024 the percentage of pregnancy help centers offering STI tests, STI treatment, abortion-pill reversal, and instruction in fertility awareness all increased.

The post-Dobbs era has certainly been challenging for pro-life pregnancy help centers. As many states have enacted strong pro-life laws, many pregnancy centers saw an increase in clients and phone calls. Furthermore, pro-abortion elected officials have continued to introduce legislation to hinder their efforts. Even worse, after the Dobbs leak, some pregnancy help centers were the targets of arson, vandalism, and other types of violence. However, “Rising to the Occasion with Unwavering Care,” shows that pregnancy help centers not only overcame these challenges but increased their own impact.  It’s excellent news as pro-lifers continue our efforts to assist pregnant women in need.
