Golden State Gov Now BRAGGING About Giving Illegal Immigrants Healthcare [WATCH]

Speaker Mike Johnson criticized media fact checkers in an X post on Friday by sharing a video of California Governor Gavin Newsom boasting about expanding Medi-Cal to undocumented immigrants, claiming it proves Democrats support the coverage, despite many prior denials.

“Remember when the media LIED REPEATEDLY and said that Democrats do NOT give health care to illegal aliens — and didn’t want to? Well now Gavin Newsom is BRAGGING about doing exactly that. Surely the retractions, corrections, and apologies are coming any minute now,” Johson quipped on X.

California’s Medi-Cal expansions for undocumented residents began in 2019 for children and progressed to adults by 2024, but a December 2025 enrollment freeze for adults aged 19+ addresses a $68 billion state budget deficit.
