This week, three Planned Parenthood facilities are permanently closing their doors! On Friday, April 3, PP will consolidate its three facilities in Indianapolis, Indiana, into a single facility. It is also closing a location in Port Angeles, Washington, on April 2. All three facilities are managed by the Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawaiʻi, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky affiliate.
Customers are unable to visit these facilities for in-person appointments, but they can still receive many of the same services through PPGNHAIK’s virtual health center, the PP Direct app, and e-visits. These virtual appointments offer access to birth control, gender hormone drugs, emergency contraception, and more. The Washington location was the only abortion facility of the three closures, but these virtual options allow its customers to continue purchasing abortion pills from Planned Parenthood to kill their babies.

Planned Parenthood claims that helping customers find compassionate “care” is its priority, but its focus on abortion is clear. On the webpage announcing the closures, PPGNHAIK specifically tells customers not to seek care from crisis pregnancy centers, claiming that “these fake clinics may look like legitimate health care providers, but they are not.” So much for its supposed support of “choice.”
As expected, Planned Parenthood is once again blaming financial woes for its facility closures, pointing to last year’s Medicaid defunding and “changes in federal funding.” It’s important to note, however, that PPGNHAIK is consistently one of the highest-earning PP affiliates. Its most recent tax documents, filed for the 2023–2024 fiscal year, show that it made $92,216,420. That same year, it paid its CEO $466,539. While the defunding undoubtedly affected PP’s earnings, long-term financial mismanagement has certainly played a part, too.
With these three closures, STOPP has identified 10 total (five permanent and five temporary) in 2026 so far. These closures are encouraging, but Planned Parenthood’s continued expansion of its virtual offerings ensures that its evil work continues without pause. And in just over three months, it will again have full access to our taxpayer dollars. We must continue to urge our legislators to defund Planned Parenthood permanently and protect our children from its bloodthirsty grasp.
