Left-wing Outlet: Migrant Sexual Assault “Price Worth Paying to End Racism”

You perhaps didn’t think you’d see the day when diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) would be applied to sexual assault. But here we are, courtesy of “Black-led and Black-owned startup” (its own description) AFRU. If a migrant rapes you says AFRU, well, boohoo. Those are just the broken eggs for the omelet. Or as the site puts it in its subhead:

Quasi-consensual encounters between refugees and white Western women may help with assimilation. Increasingly they result in a shared apartment and a new surname.

Yeah, and sometimes a new body covering, too.

Of course, a plain old white guy’s sexual misconduct is presumably still wrong. He’s just awash in “male privilege,” oozes toxic masculinity, and needs further emotional neutering. But when Ahmed from Afghanistan does it? It’s mere cultural misunderstanding.

As AFRU relates, “Karim … was just someone who slapped my butt while I was out shopping groceries,” says Julia, a 32-year-old nurse in Stuttgart. “He simply didn’t know how else to get my attention at the time.”

Oh, and now Karim isn’t just “a Syrian refugee” anymore, to Julia’s parents, she points out. He’s “their son-in-law.”

Is the Truth That Rosy?

Ayaan Hirsi Ali — an ex-Muslim-turned-atheist-turned-Christian and longtime critic of Islam — begs to differ on the beneficial-assault thesis. She warned in a recent interview of what she says is a certain Muslim religious/theological standard. That is, a “woman has to hide her body,” she stated.

“Because if she doesn’t hide her body then a man has every right to rape her.”

And, of course, most Western women today ain’t exactly hidin’ their bodies.

But Stuttgart Julia got off easy with the butt slap, commentator Andrea Widburg may say. As she points out, migrant sexual assault is a problem whose victim list is growing. She provides a few recent examples from the United States:

  • Laken Riley
  • Rachel Morin
  • Kayla Hamilton
  • Jocelyn Nungaray

“Europe has the same problem,” Widburg continues, “which is aided and abetted by officials.” She then presents the following headlines:

Ever-morphing “Standards”

Widburg also mentions the United Kingdom’s rape-gang scandal, which I covered years ago. In brief, thousands of indigenous British girls were routinely beaten, terrorized, and sexually abused by, mainly, Pakistani men. Yet authorities looked the other way because the perpetrators were swarthy and Muslim. Wokeness strikes again.

Speaking of which, Widburg highlights how the AFRU article reflects ever-morphing left-wing (pseudo)standards. She points out

that, for decades, the left, via its feminist branch, has been telling us that consent must be so explicit that the man should ask the woman every step of the way. May I touch your arm? May I hug you? May I kiss you? May I remove your shirt/shoes/pants? May I insert Plug A into Slot A or, if I’m into kink, into Slot B? Anything short of that is rape.

Widburg exaggerates not. They have just such a policy at Antioch College in Ohio, in fact.

Now, though, that’s all out the window — at least for the melanin-replete. As for AFRU’s thesis, it writes of these females drawn in by “quasi-consensual encounters”:

Pioneering women are placing the burden upon themselves to become the most powerful force undermining the very architecture of racial exclusion.

The AFRU piece is well written, though no individual wanted to sign his name to it. The byline just reads “AFRU STAFF.” And here are some representative lines from the article (direct quotations all):

  • When Western women form relationships with refugee men, they break with the implicit racial and political allegiances of their birth.
  • Each couple is a rebuke to the xenophobic imaginary.
  • These women are not just falling in love; they are puncturing the fragile white male consensus that has long underwritten white identity politics. Each white womb decorated with a Brown or Black baby make[s] racial purism increasingly not just odious but logistically impossible.
  • When white supremacy wants white women to zig, they zag.

My, my, the paranoid could almost get the crazy idea that they want to erase Western civilization.

A White Picket Fence Lifestyle?

As AFRU tells it, however, it’s all good. These women — who needed the ice broken via sexual misconduct — are now happier for it. Move over Ozzie and Harriet and make way for Osman and Hafsa. And their poor benighted in-laws get enlightened in the process!

But psychologist Phyllis Chesler has a different take on, as she put it in 2010, “When Western Women Fall for the Fairy Tale.” As she writes at her website about these foreign suitors:

At first, the men are utterly charming, generous, solicitous of their American girlfriend’s every need. After they are married to American citizens and can claim their own citizenship, they revert to form: Almost overnight, they become cruel, condescending, physically abusive, suspicious, insanely controlling, unfaithful, deceptive, and highly secretive.

… These are men who do not support their wives but expect their wives to support themselves, the household, and the children, even while they are pregnant or ill. And then, things always take a turn for the worse.

Of course, Chesler could just be an Islamophobe. If so, though, she didn’t start out that way — because she fell for the fairy tale herself, she admits.

All this said, many may dismiss the AFRU article as a one-off written by fringe lunatics. Perhaps, but some Westerners may applaud their lunacy. Just consider a Swedish woman who was molested by a “refugee” in 2015. She didn’t want to report the attack because she felt “sorry” for the man. She didn’t want him deported back to Iraq, either.

So it was, too, with a Norwegian male politician raped by a Somali in 2011. He felt “guilty” about the perp being deported because he’d face “hardship” in his native land.

So what can be said? Well, my parents used to warn, “A fool and his money will soon be parted.” One could wonder if this applies to cultures, too.
