Trump Rants About Carlson, Other Former Supporters: They Are “Losers,” “Nut Jobs,“ Not MAGA

President Trump called podcasters Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, Megyn Kelly, and Candace Owens “low IQ” morons yesterday because they oppose the illegal and unconstitutional attack on Iran.

Trump went so far as to claim the group wants Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon.

The attack on Carlson, a longtime Trump supporter until the president attacked Iran on behalf of Israel, is the second this week and particularly nasty.

Trump has said for some time his MAGA movement is whatever he says it is, and any member who disagrees with him will be declared anathema and excommunicated. That means MAGA is a cult, not a principled political movement, podcaster Glenn Greenwald argues.

Carlson the “Fool”

Trump unloaded on Carlson early this week after the wildly popular podcaster roasted Trump for his Easter F-bomb proclamation that he would attack Iran’s power plants, which would harm the civilian population.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” he wrote on Truth Social:

There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F****n’ Strait, you crazy b****rds, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.

The language and sentiment was scandalous, Carlson said.

Trump’s expressing such a scatological sentiment on the day the Prince of Peace rose from the dead was “vile on every level.”

“Desecrating Easter was the first step toward nuclear war,” Carlson wrote on X over a video of a podcast:

Christians need to understand where Trump is taking us.

In a monologue before the podcast interview, Carlson elaborated.

As is his wont, Trump lashed out.

“Tucker’s a low IQ person that has absolutely no idea what’s going on,” the president told the New York Post:

He calls me all the time; I don’t respond to his calls. I don’t deal with him. I like dealing with smart people, not fools.

But that, apparently, did not slake the increasingly deranged president’s thirst for smearing longtime supporters who disagree with his decision to enter a foreign country and break a key campaign promise.

They’re Not MAGA

Yesterday, he included the other conservative podcasters.

“I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years, especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Terror, to have a Nuclear Weapon,” Trump began his jeremiad:

— Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs. They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too! Look at their past, look at their record. They don’t have what it takes, and they never did! They’ve all been thrown off Television, lost their Shows, and aren’t even invited on TV because nobody cares about them, they’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS, and will say anything necessary for some “free” and cheap publicity.

“Hand Flailing Fools like Tucker Carlson, who couldn’t even finish College, he was a broken man when he got fired from Fox, and he’s never been the same — Perhaps he should see a good psychiatrist!” Trump said of the man who supported him for years.

He criticized Kelly for asking him the “only Rosie O’Donnell” question during a debate years ago. And noting Owens’ claim that French First Lady Brigitte Macron is a man, Trump said she “is a far more beautiful woman than Candace, in fact, it’s not even close!”

Jones deserved to go bankrupt because he called the Sandy Hook school shooting a hoax, Trump said.

All of them are “LOSERS,” Trump fumed. He attacked their credibility because “Now Fake News CNN, The Failing New York Times, and all of the other Radical Left ‘News’ Organizations, are ‘hailing’ them, and giving them ‘positive’ press for the first time in their lives.”

“They’re not ‘MAGA,’ they’re losers, just trying to latch on to MAGA.” Trump continued:

As President, I could get them on my side anytime I want to, but when they call, I don’t return their calls because I’m too busy on World and Country Affairs and, after a few times, they go “nasty,” just like Marjorie “Traitor” Brown, but I no longer care about that stuff, I only care about doing right for our Country. MAGA is about WINNING and STRENGTH in not allowing Iran to have Nuclear Weapons. MAGA is about MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and these people have no idea how to do that, BUT I DO, because THE UNITED STATES IS NOW THE “HOTTEST” COUNTRY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!

Political Suicide?

Far-left Trump hater Cenk Uygur, a former Republican who lost his marbles, explained that Trump is killing his own movement.

“Apparently, only @marklevinshow is real MAGA and the rest are secret lefties and Iran lovers,” Uygur wrote:

Attacking the most popular shows on your side and siding with least likable person in America is political suicide. Forget independents, who are long gone, are MAGA guys really going to show up to vote to give Mark Levin more power? Voter turnout for GOP is going to be abysmal.

Btw, this is same thing Democratic leadership did to the left. They attacked us and supported the establishment and Israel First. It led them to being despised and losing elections because of low voter turnout. Looking forward to GOP commiting same kind of political Hara-kiri.

MAGA Is Whatever Trump Says It Is

Weeks ago, Greenwald noted that Trump has turned MAGA into a cult. It is whatever Trump says it is, not a set of sound political principles.

Pointing to Trump’s kooky defense of Levin on March 15, in which Trump said “if you criticize Mark Levin you are not MAGA” and “I am MAGA,” Greenwald noted that “MAGA is a cult of personality. MAGA means nothing more than ‘I agree with whatever Donald Trump says to believe on any given day.’”

Attacking Kelly and Carlson in early March, Trump said much the same thing.

“If — as Trump again said last night — MAGA means nothing more than fealty to whatever Trump believes when he wakes up (even if it’s the exact opposite of what he said he believed the day before), then it is, by definition, a cult, not a political movement,” Greenwald wrote:

That’s why [former GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene] has said there’s a fundamental difference between MAGA (a cult of personality and leader-worship) and America First (a fixed set of ideological values).
