LifeNews recently shared the inspiring account of Robert Braus—an elderly gentleman who walked nearly a half mile, including the Highway 6 viaduct—to participate in Pro-Life Waco’s “It’s a Baby Waco” outreach.
For our May 23 outreach, I arranged to pick up Robert and drive him back to his residence. What happened was a wonderful surprise.
Robert told two other pro-life residents about the Saturday morning event. Mary Taylor and Glenellen Maxwell accepted the invitation to join the pro-life activism. When I arrived for Robert, my small Ford Escape suddenly became very full!

The turnout for It’s a Baby Waco exceeded 20, a very encouraging number for a state with an abortion ban in place. A special blessing was the presence of Mary and Glennallen, alongside Robert and enjoying the public witness to our Central Texas neighbors.
I look forward to It’s a Baby Waco in June. In addition to me, I expect at least three other participants in their 80s standing boldly for life—holding signs, praying, visiting with one another, and enjoying breakfast tacos.
Don’t underestimate the determination of pro-life seniors!
