Pro-Life Group Endorses Lisa Demuth for Minnesota Governor, Slams Klobuchar

National Right to Life, the nation’s oldest and largest pro-life organization, today proudly announced its endorsement of Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth for Governor of Minnesota.

“Lisa Demuth has a strong and consistent record of supporting both mothers and their unborn children,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Her commitment to protecting innocent human life and supporting women and families is clear through both her leadership and her voting record. National Right to Life is proud to endorse her candidacy for governor.”

Demuth’s pro-life leadership stands in sharp contrast to the record of the presumptive DFL nominee, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar. Throughout her career in the Senate, Klobuchar has repeatedly supported taxpayer funding of abortion, supported gruesome partial-birth abortions, opposed protections for babies born alive after an abortion, and backed legislation that would expand abortion with virtually no limits.

“Amy Klobuchar has embraced an extreme abortion agenda that is far outside the mainstream of Minnesota values,” Tobias said. “Minnesotans deserve a governor who respects the dignity and value of every human life, born and unborn.”

Tobias added that Demuth’s compassionate approach reflects the growing desire among Americans for leaders who support women, children, and families rather than promoting abortion.
