President Trump sharply criticized Iran on Friday after Tehran publicly suggested that no final peace agreement had yet been reached with the United States.
The president accused Iranian officials of acting in bad faith after Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the country “had not reached a final conclusion” on a proposed agreement aimed at ending the months-long conflict and dismantling Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
“They are very dishonorable people to deal with,” Trump said, warning that Iranian leaders “had better get their act together and fast!”

The remarks came after Iranian state media reported that Tehran planned to continue negotiating with Washington in an effort to preserve the country’s uranium enrichment capabilities — a major sticking point in the talks.
Iranian outlets also claimed Tehran had not agreed to relinquish management of the Strait of Hormuz and was demanding the release of roughly $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets as compensation for damage caused during the recent bombing campaign.
Trump forcefully rejected those reports.
“What they said, including their weak and pathetic statement on having a deal, bears no relation to the truth,” the president wrote on Truth Social.
The president said Thursday that negotiations were entering their final phase and claimed Iran had agreed in principle to end its nuclear program. Trump suggested a deal could potentially be signed as early as this weekend.
Despite the conflicting public statements, Trump has remained firm on one central demand throughout the negotiations: Iran cannot possess a nuclear weapon.
Administration officials have repeatedly said any final agreement must permanently block Tehran from developing or obtaining nuclear arms, while also addressing security concerns surrounding shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz.
The latest dispute highlights the fragile state of negotiations even as both sides publicly signal that diplomacy remains ongoing.
