Immigration and Customs Enforcement spent last weekend hauling in illegal aliens who had already been convicted of murder, child rape and kidnapping in American courtrooms — and somehow were still walking free in U.S. communities.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson confirmed the sweep, telling Breitbart News: “While Americans were enjoying their weekend, ICE law enforcement was arresting murderers, pedophiles, rapists, kidnappers, and other criminal illegal aliens across the country.”
Among those taken into custody was Juan Mauricio Castillo, an illegal alien from El Salvador with a homicide conviction out of Washoe County, Nevada. Also arrested: Juan Escobar-Herrera of Honduras, convicted of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 12 in Alabama, and Aung Lwin of Burma, convicted of child sexual assault in Nebraska.

They were joined by a list of other illegal aliens ICE says were previously convicted in the United States on charges ranging from assault and kidnapping to drug trafficking — all of them allowed to remain in American communities despite having already gone through the U.S. justice system once.
“The men and women of ICE work every single day to remove dangerous criminals like these from our communities and make America safe again,” the DHS spokesperson said.
Every person named in the sweep had already faced an American court and been convicted — underscoring how sanctuary policies and local jurisdictions that refuse to honor ICE detainers have kept violent criminal aliens on the streets long after their first offense.
