Democratic Sen. John Fetterman made an unusual appearance at the Republican midterm convention Wednesday night — praising President Trump and Republican Sen. Dave McCormick before a GOP audience.
Fetterman appeared by prerecorded video at the Dallas gathering, where he introduced his fellow Pennsylvania senator and credited Trump and McCormick for their work supporting Pennsylvania’s steel industry.
“Why am I here talking to you here today? Because I’m a common-sense Democrat,” Fetterman said in the video. “I’m always going to stand with America. I’m always going to reject socialism and the anti-American way of life.”
