Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu got two very different welcomes at the United Nations on Thursday: cheers from supporters in the balcony — and a mass walkout from delegates on the floor.
Supporters chanted “Am Yisrael Chai,” or “the people of Israel live,” as Netanyahu took the podium at the U.N. General Assembly. Delegates from dozens of countries headed for the exits, including representatives from Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the Palestinian delegation.
Netanyahu didn’t exactly beg them to stay.

“If there are any other moral cowards who haven’t yet left this hall, please do so now,” he said as the walkout continued.
Members of the Israeli delegation stood and applauded as the chamber erupted, while officials repeatedly called for order.
