As they say, it “seems like just yesterday” that on July 14, 2015, David Daleiden’s Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released its first video showing shocking remarks made by Planned Parenthood officials exposing PPFA’s ghoulish practice of harvesting aborted baby parts. By November 2015, the CMP had published 14 separate videos, recorded undercover, the contents of which were beyond nauseating.
Beginning in 2017, Daleiden, who alongside journalist Sandra Merritt, faced 15 charges filed by then-California Attorney General Xavier Becerra; ordered to pay $2.4 million in damages and more than $13 million in attorney’s fees; and faced the possibility of ten years in prison. The original charges stemmed from an investigation prompted by the previous California Attorney General—Kamala Harris! —who left in January 2017 after being elected to the U.S. Senate
Through all this, Daleiden and Merritt stood tall. Last week their courage was rewarded.

On Wednesday, San Francisco County Judge Brian Ferrall dropped the last charge against Daleiden and expunged the case.
In a lengthy X post that same day, Daleiden wrote
“As promised, the final charge has been DISMISSED and the case completely expunged—after a couple months’ administrative delay, and a truly bizarre last-minute ‘April Fool’s’ attempt by @PPFA and @NatAbortionFed to overturn the State’s agreement.”
He added
“The agreement involves no admission of wrongdoing, no fines, and no probation. …
“This new ‘no contest’ plea — which cannot be used adversely — will be entered into judgment as a misdemeanor in 6 to 12 months, and then converted to a ‘not guilty’ plea and dismissed.”
He attached a statement made last year, where Daleiden said that the end of
“the lawfare launched by Kamala Harris [is] a huge victory for my investigative reporting for the public’s right to know the truth about Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby body parts.”
In that reposted 2025 statement, Daleiden also wrote
“CMP’s undercover reporting at issue in the case led to a $7.8 million settlement in which two companies admitted illegally selling aborted fetuses from Planned Parenthood in southern California, a settlement with disgorgement of profits from the sale of aborted fetal organs in Arizona, and the disqualification of Planned Parenthood from state and federal funding in Texas for violations of medical standards and ethics documented on the undercover footage.”
Noticeably, the New York Times, which went after Daleiden unmercifully, ran no stories about the settlement in 2025 or last week. Not surprisingly, neither did the Washington Post.
Harris, who as Biden’s Vice President ran for President as Biden dropped out, was instrumental in launching the warfare against Daleiden. When she ran for the Senate, she unsurprisingly received strong support from Planned Parenthood.
Harris “worked closely with Planned Parenthood officials to draft a law that would target future journalists who exposed abortion facilities through undercover recordings,” according to Matt Lamb.
“Harris also backed AB 775, which would have forced pro-life pregnancy centers to tell women where to get abortions. The Supreme Court eventually threw out the law in NIFLA v. Becerra.”
But in 2015, she doubled down. Harris praised the bill, saying “I am proud to have co-sponsored the Reproductive FACT Act, which ensures that all women have equal access to comprehensive reproductive health care services, and that they have the facts they need to make informed decisions about their health and their lives.”
I many time wrote about the harvesting of fetal tissue and while organs and reposted stories from numerous other pro-life sources that also talked about procuring and selling unborn babies’ organs, limbs and tissue. I will repost only one of countless outrageous, dehumanizing comments from PPFA and “procurement” types.
Perrin Larton was the Procurement Manager for ABR [Advanced Bioscience Resources]. The most ghastly quote from Larton (who is smiling and giggling her way through much of the conversation), talking about late abortions:
“Yeah. The whole point is not to have a live birth. And so the doctors have all– unless it’s somebody who has had 6 pregnancies and 6 vaginal deliveries. ….[T]hey put lams [laminaria] in and she comes in the next morning and I literally have had women come in and they’ll go in the OR, and they’re back out in 3 minutes, and I’m going ‘What’s goin’ on?’ ‘Oh yeah, the fetus was already in the vaginal canal whenever we put her in the stirrups, it just fell out.’”
“It” being the intact aborted baby.
Final thought, for now. In his post last week, reacting to his legal victory, Daleiden said CMP is “quietly working on a big new project to release soon!”
