DEMS IN DISARRAY! AOC Says ‘Not a Good Idea’ to Back Hakeem Jeffries Primary Challenger

No leader. No strategy. No solutions. And at each other’s throats.

Democrats are in disarray. But socialist darling AOC is taking a moment to say, “We’re crazy, but maybe not that crazy.”

AOC made it clear this week that she doesn’t support New York City Council member Chi Ossé’s attempt to primary House Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Her response to the insurgent campaign? “Not aware.” Then she added: “I certainly don’t think a primary challenge to the leader is a good idea right now.”

The move came after Ossé — a close ally of Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani — signaled he may run a primary campaign against Jeffries. But even the socialist crowd isn’t crazy about the idea. Mamdani himself kept his guard up, despite the fact that both he and Ossé belonged to the Democratic Socialists of America.

“I believe that there are many ways right here in New York City to both deliver on an affordability agenda and take on the authoritarian administration in the White House,” Mamdani said.

The New York Post reported that Mamdani even urged Ossé not to run.

So now the supposed “youth takeover” of the Democratic Party is already splintering — right after Mamdani’s surprise nomination and Democrats’ wins in New Jersey and Virginia. The young radicals can’t even stick together.

Jeffries, meanwhile, refused to endorse Mamdani for months, finally offering an 11th-hour nod before early voting.

Ossé represents parts of Bedford-Stuyvesant and North Crown Heights, first elected in 2021 at just 23 years old. He rode the 2020 Black Lives Matter wave, becoming the first Gen Z member of the NYC Council.

Now he’s filed paperwork — “Chi Osse for Congress” — signaling his move toward Brooklyn’s 8th Congressional District. But there’s still no official announcement.

And then there’s the flip-flop. Last month, Ossé said: “It would take a very dire situation in order for me to even consider spending the rest of my 20s in DC… I’m not running for Congress.”

Monday on X, he changed tune: “Seems like we’re in a dire situation.”

The socialist squad wanted a revolution. Now they’re running for cover.
