Minnesota’s top-ranking Republican in Congress just dropped the hammer on Gov. Tim Walz — resign, immediately.
House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, the No. 3 House GOP leader, is escalating the pressure as unrest in Minneapolis continues and agitators clash with federal law enforcement amid outrage over the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.
“The scenes of destruction and damage taking place in Minneapolis are abhorrent. This violence cannot be tolerated,” Emmer said in a statement on Thursday. “Tim Walz should resign, effective immediately. The safety of Minnesotans depends on it.”

Meanwhile, Walz shared a message to President Trump on X, calling for everyone to “turn down the temperature” while simultaneously taking a shot at Trump, claiming “chaos” is what the POTUS wants.
