Five 911 Calls in 30 Minutes: Massive Problems at Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz

Operation Rescue recently obtained records revealing multiple 911 calls made from a Planned Parenthood in Virginia Beach on April 22, 2025 – a total of five calls in under half an hour.

Despite a FOIA request that should allow the release of 911 records with personal information redacted, the city of Virginia Beach refused to release any audio of the 911 calls, and heavily redacted the Computer-Aided Dispatch reports it did choose to release.

“This is something we are seeing more and more, especially in pro-abortion states,” says Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “911 records often reveal the callousness and incompetence of the abortion industry – and those who support abortion know it. Burying 911 records is just another way state officials cover for abortion clinics while women continue to be exploited, injured, and even killed.”

“Caller does not want to help”

The first 911 call from the Virginia Beach Planned Parenthood came at 11:05 AM. Labeled as “Priority 2,” the records indicate a female patient “fell from a standing position.” There is no indication as to what caused the fall, or where the patient was when it happened. Within minutes, though, it appears the request was cancelled, the call ended, and no EMS units ever arrived.

Eleven minutes later, at 11:16 AM, another 911 call was made – also for a fall. Again the patient was female – possibly the same one as before – and, this time, she reportedly fell onto a “tile” floor. Is it possible this patient was repeatedly fainting?

Three minutes into the call, 911 dispatch notes something very disturbing: “Caller does not want to help.” Though the audio records have been withheld, this call is designated as coming from inside Planned Parenthood. Language noted by the dispatch, including that the “[patient] will be in Ste A with [a] provider” seems to indicate that the person giving information is someone working at the clinic – and he or she “does not want to help.”

“Doesn’t want to help the patient, or doesn’t want to help the 911 dispatch?” asks Newman. “Both options seem pretty callous and, sadly, not uncommon. We have reported on more than one abortion clinic calling 911 only to then refuse to answer pertinent, often life-saving questions, that will assist dispatch. It would be no surprise if this Planned Parenthood employee was refusing to cooperate with 911, even while a patient was apparently struggling to remain standing and being left to fall on a hard tiled floor.”

“EMS Priority 1”

At 11:27 AM, about ten minutes after the second call, a third 911 call was made from Planned Parenthood. At nearly the exact same moment, a fourth 911 call appears to be taken by dispatch, also from Planned Parenthood. According to the CAD reports, these calls were nearly identical, possibly one to dispatch the Fire Department and one to dispatch Emergency Medical Services.

Both, however, were labeled “Priority 1,” an indicator that the emergency was a very serious, life-threatening situation. In this case, the patient was reportedly having difficulty breathing, even after using an inhaler or nebulizer to open her airways.

The two CAD reports note that this patient had a “history of breathing or heart problems” and that Planned Parenthood was unable to finish her procedure. They were “in the process of getting a procedure done” when they were apparently forced to stop and call 911. According to the CAD reports, she was in a recovery room awaiting emergency response.

Despite this life-threatening situation, dispatch once again noted on both CAD reports that the “caller does not want to help” – even when a patient was unable to breathe and required a Priority 1 response.

It is even more alarming to consider if all the calls, so far, were related to one patient — a woman who, apparently unable to stand upright, was still subjected to an attempted abortion, which could not be completed because the patient was in such physical or mental distress that she could not even breathe. Was she being coerced?

“With such redacted information, we cannot know for certain if this is the same patient, or patients, from the earlier calls,” says Newman. “What we do know is that the same Planned Parenthood allowed one or more employees to repeatedly refuse cooperation with 911 – a dispatch they already had to call four times in less than thirty minutes. The city of Virginia Beach should stop burying 911 audio calls and start asking what’s going on in this abortion clinic.”

According to the CAD reports, this patient was possibly transported to Sentara Leigh Hospital, located about six minutes from the abortion clinic. Her condition is unknown.

“Sick/Unk Request/Mental”

At 11:49 AM, a fifth 911 call was made from Planned Parenthood – this time from a female sitting in her car in the parking lot. Again, due to the heavy redactions, it is difficult to know exactly why this person called 911, but based on the language used to describe the chief complaint and other portions of the CAD, it seems possible this woman was having a panic attack.

The Incident Type is labeled “Sick/Unk Request/Mental.” Dispatch notes: “CMP states she watched her friend have [redacted] nd got worked up and feels like her [redacted].”

Could this new caller’s “friend” have been the woman from the earlier call? Did she see her taken away in an ambulance and panic? Or maybe she was in the clinic with her friend while this entire ordeal was happening.

It is impossible to know for certain, but some event that happened to her friend, seemingly at this Planned Parenthood, produced so strong of a response in her that she called 911 right there in the parking lot.

“Abortion destroys everyone it touches,” says Newman. “Even the people who decide to accompany their friend or family member to an abortion appointment. Planned Parenthood has spent all year trying to convince Americans that it’s some sort of beacon of light for women and, therefore, deserves endless amounts of government funding. The reality is Planned Parenthood harms women, kills children, and leaves a path of destruction in the lives of everyone involved. America does not need Planned Parenthood. No one, in fact, needs Planned Parenthood.”
