Gavin Newsom desperately wants to be president.
The California Governor can’t figure out why the Left doesn’t embrace him as its political savior for 2028, and so he tries different public relations angles to become more likeable and to create cover for the horrendous state of affairs in California.
Earlier this year he tried the “I’m a friendly moderate” persona by appearing on a host of top conservative podcasts. The maneuver flopped mightily as conservatives used the interviews to underscore Newsom’s gift for smugness and his shallow, leftist policy ideas. Meanwhile, Leftists seethed because you’re not supposed to dialogue with conservatives and Christians.
Scoring Some Bootleg Testosterone Shots
More recently, Newsom and his fatuous propaganda team are piloting the “Mr. Tough Guy” brand by framing the effete elitist as the Left’s version of President Donald Trump.
“Come after me,” said a lip-curling Newsom in an interview, aiming the challenge to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director, Tom Homan. As if the American answer to Justin Trudeau could possibly face down anyone.
Newsom has even taken to emulating the stylings of President Trump’s social media posts, by using short sentence in all-caps with exclamation points.
Trying to Get White House Officials Killed
But it looks like Gavin’s gambit has been taken too far.
Last week, his official press account posted “STEPHEN MILLER IS A FASCIST!” on X, in reference to Trump’s deputy chief of staff for policy.
STEPHEN MILLER IS A FASCIST!

Sensing pushback on this egregiously inflammatory post, Newsom followed-up with additional “fascists” posts, proving that the slick salesman of democrat politics isn’t merely tone deaf, but so hungry for power that he has embraced incitements to violence.
Words Make Excuses for Deeds
Let’s consider exactly why Newsom’s affront is so dangerous.
First, in the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Newsom has decided to perpetuate the brainwashing about “fascists” that has proven repeatedly to provide Leftists the justification for murder.
It’s important to note that the 1930’s German and Italian fascist regimes were not voted out of office. They were pulverized by military might. This isn’t some trivial historical tidbit – it’s the bridging concept signaling to liberals that they are also morally absolved from wrong-doing if they take on “fascists.” In fact, killing can appear as a virtue – just look at the vile celebratory reactions to Kirk’s death.
Simply put – when dealing with “fascists,” anything is fair game. That explains why a poll described the “left of center” as embracing “assassination culture.”
That’s what makes Newsom’s choice of words so reprehensible. Clearly, a tone of justification was directly cited by Kirk’s assassin – “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out,” wrote Tyler Robinson describing his rationale.
A Dog Whistle to Antifa
By pinning the scarlet letter “F” on Miller, Gavin Newsom seems to be dog-whistling to ANTIFA and other deranged Leftists that violence against him is justified. What else could he possibly mean?
What’s more, the move by Newsom is a not-so-thinly-veiled attempt to smear Stephen Miller’s boss – President Trump.
Clearly Newsom targeted Trump’s deputy chief of policy in an effort spread the effective gaslighting range to include the Administration’s policies themselves as well as the President.
In case there’s any question about this objective, team Newsom posted the following response to the Miller/“Fascist” uproar, stating: “DING DONGS IN THE WHITE HOUSE: IF YOU DON’T WANT US TO CALL YOU A FASCIST THEN STOP DOING FASCIST THINGS!”
The bottom line is that one of the leading Democrat contenders for the 2028 presidential nomination is desperately trying to cast off his Kamala Harris attributes — being at one intensely detestable and comically incompetent.
Noting the tremendous global response and revival-like outpouring of Christian faith in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Gavin’s gambit is to rally God-queering Americans by giving a megaphone to a malignant slur that’s spawning a culture of killing.
It’s difficult to find the right words to describe Newsom’s strategy, but repugnant floats to the top, alongside morally reckless. This is certainly a time for conservatives to be vigilant – but not quiet; merciful – but not weak.
This is indeed a time for prayer.
