It’s enough to drive parents crazy. Here’s the lead:
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) tells 7News Reporter Nick Minock that they are launching an investigation into claims that school staff arranged abortions for students and didn’t tell their parents.

This story has blown up on social media — a report that says school officials at Fairfax County’s Centerville High School arranged and bankrolled abortions for girls without so much as a phone call to their parents back in 2021.
The report said one of the two girls involved was 17 years old.
How did Fairfax County Public Schools respond?
“We learned yesterday [Tuesday] of these concerning allegations from 2021. We are launching an immediate and comprehensive investigation as we take all concerns of student wellbeing very seriously.”
Background? Fairfax County is an ultra-liberal county with a well-earned reputation as having contempt for parents.
To his credit Minock did not accept boilerplate assurances.

For example, he asked, “if FCPS staff members ever arranged abortions for students, and if did they do so in this case?” FCPS responded, “Not to [our] knowledge.”
Minock also asked when a student inquires about an abortion with an FCPS employee, what is “their standard operating procedure”? They referred him to Regulation 2504. Minock looked at Regulation 2504 and wrote
Although FCPS’s policy states, “every effort shall be made to encourage and support students suspecting pregnancy to discuss their concerns with their parents or guardians,” it does not require, or even suggest, FCPS employees should inform the parents about those conversations.
“A Fairfax high school secretly arranged and paid for student abortions—without telling parents,” 40 Days for Life wrote on X. “This isn’t ‘healthcare.’ It’s state-funded child exploitation. Every official involved must be held accountable.”
