Josh Shapiro, the Governor of Pennsylvania—often mentioned as a 2028 Presidential contender—is badly misinformed when it comes to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion operation.
Democrat Shapiro has signed onto a lawsuit claiming that the federal government does not have the right to defund Planned Parenthood in the legislation popularly known as the Big, Beautiful Bill.
In a post on the social media platform known as X, Shapiro stated:
“This unconstitutional decision threatens to close vital health care centers and deny Pennsylvanians essential, lifesaving care such as cancer screening and prevention, family planning services, and prenatal and postpartum care.”
The post is rife with misleading statements.

When many people think of women’s cancer screening, they think of mammograms. Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms.
Secondly, published reports indicate that Planned Parenthood facilities in Pennsylvania are not doing prenatal care.
The organization’s own figures show that the vast majority of its clinic income comes from abortion—the taking of an innocent, unrepeatable human life.
Given its shoddy health and safety record, allegations of the cover-up of sexual abuse of minors, and other controversies, Planned Parenthood does not deserve one dime of taxpayer money.
Let’s hope that justice ultimately prevails in this case and Planned Parenthood is defunded.
And that Governor Shapiro learns the facts about the abortion industry, which is dedicated to abortion rather than women’s health.
