Abortionist Shelley Sella recently confirmed the death of abortionist Susan Robinson in a public post on social media. According to Sella, late-term abortionist Susan Robinson died on February 27, “less than a year” after a cancer diagnosis. Both Sella and Robinson were trained in extremely late-term abortions by Kansas abortionist George Tiller during their years at his now shuttered Wichita clinic, and both went on to expand brutal late-term abortion in New Mexico.
In Sella’s public post about Robinson’s death, she states that two days before Robinson died she told Sella, “How many people can say – I haven’t wasted my life….I have no regrets…I’m very pleased about the whole business.”

The “whole business” was the gruesome destruction of countless babies for any reason and at any gestation — some of which were undeniably full-term, admitted by Robinson herself.
In an interview with Irish Independent in 2013, Robinson boasted about her ability to abort babies at any stage in New Mexico, stating, “So there is nothing legal to stop me from doing any abortion that I think is appropriate.”
In that same interview, Robinson also admitted to aborting a baby she wrongly measured at 32 weeks only to realize it was closer to 37 weeks when she looked at the dead body of the baby she just aborted. Robinson claims she was “devastated,” but this did not stop her from killing more children in the womb.
Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, comments, “We have seen so many abortionists who dedicated their life to violently killing children in the womb also die a painful death. For Robinson, it was cancer less than a year after her diagnosis. LeRoy Carhart, another late-term abortionist, also died of terminal cancer. George Tiller met a very violent end. James McMahon, who developed ‘intact dilation and extraction,’ died of a brain tumor. Even Cecile Richards, the most influential CEO of Planned Parenthood — who presided over the death of millions of babies — died shortly after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
“We all know there is a spiritual malignancy that comes from dedicating your life to destroying your fellow human at the most vulnerable stage in life — and I believe that malignancy can make itself known physically in these abortionists’ bodies. They spend their lives treating a child like a tumor and then a tumor is the very thing that ends their life. Coincidence, or maybe just consequence?”
Bud and Tara Shaver of Abortion Free New Mexico (AFNM) — both of whom interned with Operation Rescue years ago — recently published a press release highlighting Robinson’s death and her tragic legacy of wildly expanded abortion in New Mexico. AFNM is patterned after Operation Rescue’s Abortion Free Cities model, and the Shavers have engaged in investigative reporting, public records research, and on-the-ground documentation for many years in Albuquerque.
Tara Shaver, spokesperson for AFNM, stated, “Dr. Robinson was part of a small network of physicians who ensured that abortions later in pregnancy continued in the United States after George Tiller’s death. Her work is part of the larger story of how New Mexico became a national hub for these procedures.”
Shaver also noted that AFNM has spent years documenting the growth of the abortion industry in radicalized New Mexico.
“For nearly two decades,” she said, “Abortion Free New Mexico leaders have been warning that New Mexico was becoming what many now describe as the late-term abortion capital of America.”
AFNM also pointed out that Robinson’s passing may prompt renewed questions about the future of late-term abortion providers operating in America and whether other late-term abortionists will continue the practice in states like New Mexico.
Newman adds, “The number of abortionists like Robinson willing to murder children in the eighth and ninth month of pregnancy seems to be dwindling. Last year, Warren Hern’s notorious late-term abortion operation shut down in Colorado just months after Hern retired. Despite a public promise that his work and ‘legacy’ would go on, no one seemed willing to replace him.
“It seems even the next generation of abortion radicals are losing the stomach to kill in the third trimester, which should be revealing to the American people. Why is it so hard to find abortionists to perform late-term abortions? Could it be because the innocence and humanity of that child is all the more obvious at that late stage? But the same innocence and humanity is there on day one in the womb. We must help the American people to see that whole truth.”
