Meet the Christian Triplets Using Social Media to Share the Gospel: ‘Jesus is the Way’

Three 18-year-old Christian triplets are using social media to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, hoping to “plant the seed” of faith in Generation Z.

The Triplets

Gage, Till and Kaden Helms – known online as 3n1 trilogy – recently spoke with Fox News about how their online evangelistic efforts caught fire.

“Me and my brothers here have just basically started a Christian platform and just spread the gospel at a young age and trying to encourage others to find Jesus. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life,” Till shared.

Last year, the trio didn’t even have an Instagram page. But they convinced their mom to let them join so they could begin posting Scripture-based content.

“It’s pretty evil and a lot of wrong is on it and a lot of bad things. But we can use it for good,” Gage said about the platform.

They quickly hit 220,000 Instagram followers. Their numbers skyrocketed after posting a video encouraging kids to be “the light” at school by speaking out about their faith, being kind to others, and sitting with someone alone at the lunch table.

“Practice what you preach. If you say you’re a believer, go out and live it, guys,” they share in the video. “Be bold for your faith. Stand firm for the kingdom. … Jesus can change your school through you.”

“Be bold. Don’t care what others think. Stand firm in Jesus and live your faith out,” they add. “Who cares if people make fun of us? They hated a perfect man. They crucified Him and killed Him. So obviously they’re gonna hate us.”

Today, the trio have over 393,000 followers on Instagram.

“We just want to be bold for the gospel, share the good news of Jesus and let people know that they can be bold for Jesus, and don’t be ashamed of that,” Kaden shared with Fox.

The teens recently appeared on “Fox & Friends” for an interview, which you can watch below:

Gen Z and Faith

The young men’s evangelical efforts add to an encouraging trend among Generation Z amid mounting evidence of a “quiet revival” of Christian belief occurring among young men today.

According to The New York Times, for the first time in American history, men now outnumber women in churches. Last year, a survey by the Public Religion Research Institute found that 31% of Gen Z men identify as religiously unaffiliated compared to 39% women.

This “return to the churches” trend among Gen Z men coincides with their shift to the political right, as an increasing number of young men identify as conservative. Furthermore, young men are now more likely than young women to say they want to have children someday.

It remains to be seen whether young women will follow their male counterparts’ lead, or whether the religious, political and ideological divide among the sexes will continue to widen.

Fostering Your Child’s Faith

Far too many adults who grew up in church withdraw from church involvement when they reach adulthood. For parents looking to instill their Christian faith in their children, here are three things to keep in mind.

First, parents are an essential ingredient for a child to remain strong in their faith. As sociologist Christian Smith concludes, “without question, the most important pastor a child will ever have in their life is a parent.”

Second, fostering a child’s personal faith devotion is crucial. If a child develops some habit of regular prayer and reading of Scripture, they are more likely to maintain these faith practices into adulthood.

Third, it’s important for children and adolescents to develop strong beliefs and practices about sexual chastity, and the ability to wrestle with and solve doubts about their faith. Parents shouldn’t dismiss their children’s questions or doubts. Rather, it’s critical to maintain an open line of communication, convey that many people wrestle with doubts periodically, and help answer any pressing questions.

Kaden, Gage and Till will attend Gardner-Webb University this fall, a private Christian university in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. We wish them well and thank them for their bold and public Christian witness.
