More Video of Pretti Fight Contradicts Family Statement; Shows Deranged Cursing, Challenge to Agents

Newly released video of a fight between federal agents and Alex Pretti, shot to death on Saturday, belies the family’s statement issued after he was killed.

And yet another angle of his assault on the agents — different from that released by the The News Movement — depicts a cursing, screaming Pretti daring the agents to assault him.

Both videos contradict the leftist claim that Pretti was peacefully protesting. Rather, he was an unhinged leftist goon with a gun who provoked the agents who tackled him and broke his rib.

News Movement Video

As The New American reported yesterday, the video recorded by The News Movement shows Pretti spitting at agents and vandalizing their Ford Expedition.

After spitting at an agent, the video shows, Pretti twice kicked the vehicle as the agents were driving away. The second kick broke the passenger-side tail light. An agent emerged from the SUV and took Pretti down.

“Our footage was analyzed by the BBC, whose facial recognition technology confirmed his identity to a 97-percent degree of accuracy,” the narrator says.

During the fight with Pretti, the agents deployed tear gas and pepper balls.

“The man in our footage is wearing a similar outfit to what Pretti was wearing on the day he was killed,” the narrator continues:

What appears to be a gun is also visible above his waistband.

Law Professor Jonathan Turley explained that the video, recorded January 13, in no way comports with a statement the family issued after two federal agents shot Pretti to death on January 24.

“The videotape also contradicts the family’s account of the earlier encounter,” Turley wrote:

The new videotape shows a violent individual who forced the confrontation with officers. Pretti is shown screaming “f— you” repeatedly while flashing double middle fingers. He then destroys the rear signal light and the surrounding area.

The attorney for the Pretti family, Steve Schleicher, issued a statement that:

“A week before Alex was gunned down in the street — despite posing no threat to anyone — he was violently assaulted by a group of (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents. Nothing that happened a full week before could possibly have justified Alex’s killing at the hands of ICE on Jan 24.” …

[T]his video clearly does not support the claims of the family. Damaging the vehicle and spitting at officers are violent acts that are threatening to law enforcement. It was not a “violent assault,” but a justified takedown by officers. What is curious is the fact that Pretti was then let go by the officers.

Another Angle

New footage from the other side of the fight’s beginning clearly shows Pretti racing toward the mayhem and confronting the agents, then challenging an agent to a fight before he gets in the vehicle to leave.

“What the f**k are you doing here?” Pretti screams:

F**k you! Get the f**k out of here. F**k you! F**k you! What the f**k is wrong with you? … Look at you! Pepper spray b***h! F***in’ assault me, motherf***er. … F**k you guys. F**in’ trash! F**in’ trash!

After the F-bomb tirade, Pretti spat on the vehicle and kicked it twice. The second kick, again, broke the passenger-side tail light. Then the agent exited the vehicle and gave Pretti what he asked for.

The fight left Pretti with a broken rib, a source told CNN.

The Shooting

Thus do the videos released after the initial video that showed the shooting prove that Pretti was no innocent protester just there to voice his opinion, as was his right to do. But that first video created the usual leftist narrative.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, whose agents killed Pretti, released a preliminary report.

At about 9 a.m., the report says, two leftist women confronted CBP officers, which include Border Patrol agents, and blew whistles at them. The officers ordered the women out of the road but they refused to budge, a clear provocation that forced the agents to act. That would provide video to create a narrative.

An officer “pushed them both away and one of the females ran to a male, later identified as 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a US citizen,” the report continued:

The CBPO [CBP officer] attempted to move the woman and Pretti out of the roadway. The woman and Pretti did not move. The CBPO deployed his oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray towards both Pretti and the woman.

When the officers attempted to detain Pretti, he resisted.

“During the struggle, a BPA [Border Patrol agent] yelled, ‘He’s got a gun!’ multiple times,” the report says. Seconds later, two agents shot and killed Pretti.

In both fights with the agents, Pretti carried a gun. During the second, an agent disarmed him of a Sig Sauer P320. The Department of Homeland Security is investigating to determine whether the gun discharged (a problem with that model) or whether the agent inadvertently fired it.
