The Nicaraguan dictatorship announced the release of “dozens of people” who were imprisoned following pressure from the United States and coinciding with the 19th anniversary of the regime of President Daniel Ortega and his wife and “co-president,” Rosario Murillo. “What happened in Venezuela has unleashed fear in the tyrannical government and hope in the people,” Arturo McFields Yescas, the former Nicaraguan ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS), told ACI Prensa.
