As we get closer to the Oregon March for Life on Saturday, May 30th, pro-life advocates across the state are preparing to gather outside the State Capitol in Salem.
Will we see you there?
Why Do We March?
We march to publicly and peacefully advocate on behalf of the most vulnerable. Every year at the Oregon March for Life, we celebrate the beauty and dignity of every human life, mourn those lost to abortion, and recommit to ensuring that the right to life of every human being is protected under the law.
Please follow LifeNews.com on Gab for the latest pro-life news and info, free from social media censorship.
When hundreds or thousands of us march together, we show our community that we exist, that there are many of us, and that we are a voice for the voiceless. We show that our vision for a pro-life Oregon – where every human being is valued and protected from his or her first moments of existence – is something we’re willing to show up for, again and again.
Why is the Event Held in May?
Traditionally, our March was held in January to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. But after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe in 2022, we’ve begun holding the Oregon March for Life in May – the same month that our own state legalized abortion in 1969.
This change signals our renewed focus on the responsibility of residents like you and me to utilize all the resources at our disposal within our own state, including within the legislature, to restore the right to life for the unborn right here in Oregon.
Come March with Us on Saturday, May 30th!
Please plan to join us to march for life with us this year! This is a beautiful and uplifting time to come together peacefully as a pro-life movement here in Oregon.
I can’t wait to see you in Salem on Saturday, May 30th at 2:30 PM.
