Santa Maria, California

Hilda was just about to leave her prayer shift when she met a woman arriving at Planned Parenthood for a pre-operative appointment.

The expectant mother had a second-trimester abortion scheduled for the following day.

An abortion facility staffer saw the woman talking with Hilda and came out to intercept her. Instead, the mom accepted Hilda’s invitation to visit a local pregnancy center.

“I’m going to have my baby,” she said with a smile.

She also prayed with Hilda and acknowledged that she wants to improve her relationship with God.

“I offered to help her in any way she might need,” Hilda said.
