We are excited to announce our groundbreaking adoption messaging campaign focused primarily on male students attending universities across Indiana.
Why are we focused on young men? In exclusive polling research funded by Indiana Right to Life, we asked young women who stated they would consider abortion in an unplanned pregnancy (but NOT adoption) what, if anything, would cause them to reconsider adoption.
Sadly, nearly half of the respondents stated nothing would have made them reconsider adoption.
But the majority response from the young women who would reconsider adoption was, “If the baby’s father supported me in the decision”. The message is clear: young men need to support a woman’s adoption decision.
Using this polling data, we created a series of short video messages designed to appear before the start of programming on YouTube and other streaming channels geared towards young men. Detailed results from this $20,000 November campaign will be analyzed and used to produce future campaigns in Indiana.

“This can’t be a one and done effort,” states IRTL President and CEO Mike Fichter. “If we truly hope to transform the perception of adoption for the better in Indiana, we must be in it for long haul. This is just the starting point – where it goes from here depends on all of us.”
Fichter notes the message of the new adoption campaign dovetails perfectly with Indiana Right to Life’s statewide Love Them Both campaign. “Pregnant moms and their babies need support”, he notes. “In this case it’s the support of the baby’s father in supporting adoption instead of abortion.”
