Report: Fathers Hugging Their Kids Tighter Today

U.S. — In the face of what seems at times to be overwhelming darkness, a new report suggested that millions of fathers throughout the country would be hugging their kids tighter today.

With rampant violence sweeping across American cities, the report indicated that dads’ hearts were overflowing with a greater appreciation for the unspeakable blessings they had been given.

“It’s days like this that remind me of how blessed I am,” said local father Garrett Reed as he commented on current events. “My job. Money. Whatever Jurassic Park movie is out in theaters. Who cares? I just want to hug my kids and never let go.”

According to sources, children may be unprepared for how hard their fathers plan to hug them. When questioned, babies drooled, toddlers demanded “upsies”, and older kids shrugged. Teens, however, rolled their eyes. “Whatever,” said Reed’s teenage daughter, Natalie.

As the work day ended across the country and more working fathers made their way home, a sea of love was expected to sweep the nation as fathers hugged their children closely and encouraged them to live a peaceful and God-fearing life.

At publishing time, millions of kids lingered in their father’s arms, resting in the comfort of their father’s love, and how blessed they were to have the chance to be held by him.
