Stephen A. Talks Trump’s Recent Moves, Newsom’s White House Hopes [WATCH]

Straight talk from the straight shooter.

Legendary ESPN broadcaster Stephen A. Smith spoke with Sean Hannity Thursday night about President Trump’s recent attempts to reach across the aisle, and Golden State Gov Gavin Newsom’s presidential prospects.

As always, it was a lively discussion.

“Here we are talking about the vitriol on both sides … you see all of this volatility going on, which has really served to divide us as a country. And then you see Trump, after talking about Mamdani the way that he did, allowing him to come to the White House,” Stephen A. said. “You see, Trump, and he goes out there and [pardons Cuellar] — he’s a Democrat! Maybe a moderate, but still a Democrat. So you went across the aisle and undid a wrong — at least that’s what you’re saying.”

Stephen A. continued: “What you’re doing is you’re letting the country know ‘It’s them. I’m open to discussions. I’m open to handling business. I’m open to doing what’s in the best interest of America. Those folks on the left are the ones being igid and not willing to have discussions about what’s in the best interest of this country.’”

“You are saying something very deep and profound and very true,” Hannity said.

The conversation pivoted to Gavin Newsom’s presidential chances: “You don’t think Gavin Newsom can win a general election?” Hannity said.

“I don’t,” Stephen A. confirmed, stating that Newsom’s only chance is to move towards the middle.
