Stopping the Revolution of Darkness

The assassination of Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA reveals the stark truth about the violent, dark revolution that has been going on for years.

And, this monstrous public murder of a non-politician may well be the event that supercharges a renewed energy for the very concepts of human freedom, dignity, and God that the Darkness wanted to kill.

For decades now, many of us have been writing and speaking about the radical left and the collapse of post-World War II liberalism into soft Marxism — and its great leap forward to hardcore militancy, secreted into the government by the radical Barack Obama, a trained revolutionary, coming to power in 2008. (See a previous article detailing some of that history in “The Radicals Don’t Fall Far from the Tree” here.)

The last decade has witnessed the near complete capture of the Democrats into a revolutionary party that sanctions and uses the language of the radical, and by it promotes public violence and personal coercion to tear down the existing order. They use the tactics honed and refined in the hoped-for revolution in the 1960s and 1970s; political violence and public blackmail have been the radicals’ most effective weapons, taking chaos and demolition into the heart of American cities. From the Weather Underground, SDS, the Communist Party USA, various socialist and anarchist groups, ANTIFA, and splinter groups like BLM, Occupy Wall Street, and many others that all share common goals of social deconstruction.

The radicals want to destroy that which they could not themselves build. Charlie Kirk died carrying that message winsomely into the public square. He used wit and reason like a scalpel on the unacquainted and his passion as a torch to light the way. And always, he pointed to God as the only foundation of personal and national salvation.

A Small Club

Over these decades, the control of the existing Democrat Party structure has become a full-fledged threat to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and most importantly, freedom of religion. This has made the Democrat Party the nation’s go-to anti-God party.

Hatred of God and personal faith are always at the core of the radical Marxist-based movements, beginning with Marx and Engels themselves, because faith is antithetical to their precepts of human dignity and divine worth, and anything that touches the soul must be eliminated. Look no further than Xi’s Jinping’s China today to see the natural fruition of this demonic hatred.

The radical core of the Democrat Party is well funded through government-grifting, non-government organizations and dark money from radical millionaires and billionaires, with the full support of the corporate-owned media and entertainment industry and many multinational corporations. Leaving aside the Democrats’ historical legacy of Jefferson Davis, the Confederacy, slavery, Jim Crow, the KKK, its radicalism since the 1960s and 1970s is squarely centered on violence in the US as a means of furthering the rapid deconstruction of American society through ripping the culture apart, ending free markets, capitalism, control of the press, upending the family unit, and bringing children into the sole orbit of the state.

Fighting back against this type of ideology requires strong truthtellers – men and women of character with a passion for people and ideas, such as the late Andrew Breitbart and Rush Limbaugh. Now Charlie Kirk joins that exclusive list.

The established Republican Party finds it difficult to live with this type of person, and a great many were and are profoundly uneasy with truthtellers. The simple reason is that they look so unimportant in their shadow. Each man stood proudly for the American spirit and character, and each championed righteousness, decency, and the Founding of the Republic. The truthtellers denounced the poverty and depravity of the politics of the Left and identified the seeds of violence and coercion that the radicals planted over history. And they refused to carry water for the small voices of the Republican Party, who believe that compromising with an ideology that wishes to extinguish human freedom is needed.

These are extraordinary times where the timid, the half-hearted, and the scoffer seem to be in charge of the affairs of the nation. But Charlie Kirk, in just a decade of public life, showed anyone watching that faith in God first, faith in the Republic, and faith in its citizens could turn the tide of the times.
