One more thing for us to be grateful for, as Christians and Americans, is that our government no longer winks at the global assault on Christians by Muslims — a cynical policy that characterized not just the Biden and Obama administrations, but also that of George W. Bush. Three-fourths of the Christians in Iraq were ethnically cleansed after our 2003, while our troops stood down at Bush’s (and then Obama’s) orders.
Whatever the stage of President Donald Trump’s walk with God, he cares about those counted as “least among your brothers,” helpless Christians persecuted for their faith. Fox News reports:
President Trump announced Friday that he is designating Nigeria as a “country of particular concern,” citing the widespread killings of Christians in the West African country.
“Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria,” Trump posted to Truth Social. “Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter. I am hereby making Nigeria a “COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN” — But that is the least of it.”
The President emphasized that action must be taken when people are persecuted for their faith.
Trump said he has directed Rep. Riley Moore, R-W. Va., Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla., and members of the House Appropriations Committee to investigate the situation and report their findings to him.
“The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria, and numerous other Countries,” Trump said. “We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the World!”
Neither of the Bush administrations would have used such language. They might have issued banal affirmations of abstract “religious liberty,” while in practice turning a blind eye to Muslim persecutions. When Muslim governments see fit to meddle around the world on behalf of migrants being hosted in majority Christian countries, why should nations with robustly Christian heritages and majorities (such as ours) refuse to take the side of our own brothers in Christ, when they’re hunted in their homes? Trump doesn’t see a good reason, because there isn’t one.
Muslim Terror Gang Busted, Foiling Halloween Attack in Michigan
Jihad, or “religious war,” isn’t just a problem over in Africa, or in migrant “no go” zones in Europe. Thanks to the aggressive importation of “refugees” from halfway across the world, bypassing a dozen safe Muslim countries, and their resettlement in America, we now have foreign gangs of religious zealots right here in our midst — some of them serving in Congress, while others plan terror attacks. The New York Post reports:
Federal investigators prevented a real-life Halloween horror by busting at least five terror plotters inspired by ISIS in Michigan early Friday, sources familiar with the operation told The Post.
“This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend,” FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X.
“Thanks to the men and women of FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and crushing our mission to defend the homeland.”
Authorities raided three homes in the Detroit suburbs of Dearborn and Inkster and recovered weapons including legally owned guns, the sources said.
Those arrested were described as home-grown radicals, but authorities were investigating possible foreign contacts of the suspects.
Did you catch that? “Home-grown radicals,” who were apparently born to Muslim migrants, schooled in radical mosques, and groomed to attack the country which foolishly chose to offer them refuge.
Bill Kristol, Arbiter of “Principled Conservatism,” Endorses Zohran Mamdame
He doesn’t even live in New York City. Nobody asked for his opinion. But William “Bill” Kristol, self-styled NeverTrump “conservative,” came out to endorse the election as mayor of New York City of a hard-core socialist Muslim, Zohran Kwame Mamdame — who has campaigned with Hamas supporters. Kristol also endorsed Democrat candidate for governor of Virginia (where Kristol does live) Abigail Spanberger, despite her support for a Democrat candidate Jay Jones (attorney general hopeful) who has described his fantasies of murdering white Republican politicians and their children. The Forum interviewed Kristol, and reports:
Kristol, the son of famed conservative intellectual Irving Kristol, was born and raised in New York City. He served as chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle from 1989 to 1993. In 1994, he founded political magazine The Weekly Standard. Kristol broke with the Republican Party in 2016 over the candidacy of Donald Trump and, in 2018, co-founded The Bulwark, where he now serves as editor-at-large. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Salvatori Center at CMC, which hosts The Forum.
Zohran Mamdani is a democratic socialist and candidate for mayor of New York City. He rose to prominence earlier this year, winning the New York City Democratic Mayoral primary in June. Mamdani has received endorsements from various figures on the American left, but Kristol’s statements may mark the first show of support from the Never-Trump Republican movement.
Did you have this on your bingo card? Having met Kristol briefly in 1992 at Pat Buchanan’s American Cause, where Kristol denounced Hillary Clinton’s health care proposals as “socialism,” I’ll admit that I didn’t. I expected a wee bit more from Kristol, but I was being (as usual) unduly optimistic. What a sad decline for the Kristol family. In terms of wisdom, intellect, and manliness, Irving Kristol is to Bill as Theodore Roosevelt was to Eleanor.
Justice May Be Coming for the Tyrants in Venezuela, and a Reckoning for Our Own Election Fraudsters
I’ve explained here before why the Trump administration is so focused on bringing down the Marxist dictatorship in Venezuela: It came to power via election fraud, using the same software that was then exported to the U.S., and used to steal the 2020 presidential race (among many others). That’s right, the road to exposing the truth about our stolen elections runs through Caracas, and Trump seems intent on ferreting out solid proof before the 2026 mid-terms can be stolen, and the House of Representatives turned into a fake impeachment circus. To do that, he must bring down the Venezuelan regime. That goal keeps getting closer, as MediaIte writes:
PresidentDonald Trump has decided to strike multiple Venezuela military installations, according to a new report from the Miami Herald.
Sources familiar with the situation told the Herald that the strikes “could come at any moment.”
An attack would mark a major escalation in an already-tense situation, with the president already approving deadly strikes on boats from Venezuela that he and other officials claim are a direct threat to the U.S. as they are allegedly carrying drugs and bringing them into the country….
Trump has claimed that Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro is the head of the alleged smuggling operation the United States is targeting. Maduro was sworn in January despite big questions about the legitimacy of his victory. His opposition reviewed tally sheets from 80% of voting machines and counted twice as many votes for Edmundo González. The U.S.-based Carter Center confirmed that tally was legitimate.
“Venezuela’s electoral process did not meet international standards of electoral integrity at any of its stages and violated numerous provisions of its own national laws,” the Center, which oversaw the election, said in a statement.
Trump reportedly authorized covert CIA operations in Venezuela earlier this month.
“We are certainly looking at land now, because we’ve got the sea very well under control,” the president said.
The embattled people of artificially impoverished Venezuela might get their freedom soon. Let’s hope it’s in time to stop Maduro’s American allies from highjacking our next election.
