The Brew: Violent Leftist Rhetoric Escalates, as Democrats Double Down

Conservatives aren’t perfect, and all Christians are sinners, so there is doubtless some fault on both sides of the political spectrum. But there’s no honest way to deny that right now the political situation is asymmetrical: The Right is calling for enforcement of duly enacted democratic laws, while the Left is calling for violence. We’re insisting on our God-given rights; they’re calling for our destruction. No, we can’t “lower the temperature” or “cool down the rhetoric” unilaterally, any more than Israel can decree peace with Hamas, which seeks its obliteration. This is not a time for appeasement.

We’re way past citing the Reddit posts of unhinged transgender fantasists — who have shot up multiple Christian schools and churches. No need to point to the signs waved by tattooed freaks in Portland. We’re now at the point where a Democrat nominee for office talked about murdering a Republican politician — and his own party is standing behind him. A few days ago, Gateway Pundit and National Review reported:

Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general, sent a shocking series of early-morning text messages back on August 8, 2022.

Jones was furious over how state politicians were mourning the death of former state legislator Joe Johnson Jr, a longtime centrist Democrat. Republican politicians such as House Speaker Todd Gilbert made classy statements honoring Johnson, and some of those statements were shared in state legislative group chats.

Jones, who had recently resigned from the state House, later texted his outrage over the eulogies to his former colleague, Republican House Delegate Carrie Coyner. National Review obtained the text messages.

In the first message, Jones slammed Johnson for being too ‘moderate’ and mocked the “glowing” tributes made by Republicans.

Jones wrote: “If those guys die before me, I will go to their funerals to p**s on their graves” to “send them out awash in something.”

Jones then said in a hypothetical situation, he would kill then-Speaker of the House Todd Gilbert instead of murderous tyrants Adolf Hitler and Pol Pot. This prompted Coyner to plead with him to stop.

National Review notes Jones doubled down after calling Coyner, claiming that politicians “must feel pain themselves,” like the agony that parents feel when they watch their children get killed.

Jones also said he wished Gilbert’s wife could watch her own child die in her arms so that Gilbert might move to the left politically. Infuriated by his wretched remark, Coyner hung up the phone.

Did the Democratic Party of Virginia call for Jones to drop out of the race? Did Democrats statewide go into a panic mode and call for Jones’ removal from the ballot, as many Republicans have done to President Donald Trump after various (much lesser) misdeeds?

No, not at all. No prominent Democrats have called for Jones’ removal from the ticket, and Democrat gubernatorial candidate in Virginia Abigail Spanberger is standing behind him.

Jones really did wish death on police officers:

Sadistic murder fantasies over political differences are now mainstream on the Left, not a month after the murder of Charlie Kirk. What does that tell us? That the Left must feel some pain or its bloodlust will only escalate. Only severe legal consequences imposed by the Trump administration on advocates of violence, and those who endanger ICE agents, have a chance of halting the escalation of terrorist actions by the Left.

From Anarchy to Tyranny

While Democrats claim that the deportation of illegal aliens amounts to “authoritarianism” or even “fascism,” we’ve seen what they do with power when they have it — ruthlessly abuse it. Fox News reports:

Former Special Counsel Jack Smith was allegedly tracking the private communications and phone calls of nearly a dozen Republican Senators as part of his investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots, Fox News Digital has learned.

A document, reviewed by Fox News Digital, revealed that Smith and his “Arctic Frost” team investigating Jan. 6 were allegedly tracking the phone calls of GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama and GOP Rep. Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania.

Using the pretext that the January 6 protests were an “insurrection,” Smith was spying on these senators to see if they supported claims of election fraud in the 2020 election. Which totally didn’t happen, and is an absurd claim no one would take seriously — and that’s the reason the Left has imprisoned election official Tina Peters, tried to imprison Rudolph Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and others who raised any questions about the security of that vote. Because absolutely nothing happened, which is obvious to everyone.

Judge Orders Trump Not to Use National Guard to Protect ICE Officers, as Cops Aid Riotors

After Donald Trump federalized the Oregon National Guard to halt Antifa rioters’ attacks on ICE officers and federal buildings, Judge Karin Immergut issued an order denying that he had the authority to do so. She claimed that his order was “unnecessary” and therefore unconstitutional. Let’s look at how “unnecessary” such a use of federal resources really is. Here’s footage of the Portland police briefing rioters on how to resist federal law enforcement:

But remember: the grandmas taking selfies on January 6 in front of friendly, smiling Capitol Police officers were the real insurrectionists.

President Trump knows the stakes we’re playing for. Blue states are now acting like the Confederate states in 1861, and Portland Oregon might just be Fort Sumter. I’ve speculated here before that he might invoke the Insurrection Act, which gives the president broad enforcement powers that lower-court judges couldn’t block. Now Trump is talking about doing exactly that:

Will We See a Peace Deal in Gaza?

Despite claims by some that President Trump and his administration are “in Israel’s pocket,” the peace deal which Trump joined Benjamin Netanyahu to offer Hamas last week was amazingly generous — and would achieve exactly none of the expansionist goals of the far-Right Israeli settlers movement. Most of the Arab world is on board as well, leaving Hamas isolated and on the ropes. As the Times of Israel reports:

Delegations from Hamas and Israel on Monday began indirect talks in Egypt on US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza, Egyptian state-linked media reported, as officials said mutual distrust could complicate the negotiations.

Al-Qahera News, which is linked to state intelligence, said the delegations in the Sinai resort town of Sharm el Sheikh “are discussing preparing ground conditions for the release” of the remaining 48 hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinians, including 250 life-term terrorists.

“Egyptian and Qatari mediators are working with both sides to establish a mechanism” for the exchange, the network reported, as officials indicated Hamas was wary of giving up its leverage by freeing the hostages early. …

According to an unsourced report on the Ynet news site, Netanyahu instructed Israel’s negotiators not to let Hamas deviate from Trump’s proposal, including the appended map of Israel’s gradual withdrawal, which Hamas conditionally accepted last week. The IDF will “go back to fighting” in Gaza if the talks don’t reach a breakthrough within a few days, the report said.

Let us pray for peace, real lasting peace in the Holy Land.
