This Was the ‘Single Most Pointless Shutdown’ in History’ [WATCH]

Was it worth it? The obvious answer: “No.”

During Monday night’s Hannity, Fox News host Sean Hannity blasted Democrats for what he called the “single most pointless shutdown” in U.S. history.

After refusing to fund the government for 41 days, a small group of Senate Democrats finally crossed the aisle to vote to reopen Congress.

Far-left radical Democrats blasted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for losing control of his caucus and allowing defectors; the Empire State senator’s days are now numbered.

“Humiliation inside the Democratic Party — it’s never been this bad,” Hannity said. “After 40 days and 40 nights of nothing but political grandstanding, a handful of Democrats finally agreed to end their own party’s filibuster.”

“What do Democrats have to show for this? There is now an all-out political Civil War that has broken out within their ranks,” Hannity said.

“Democrats closed your government for nearly six weeks. Federal workers went without pay … food assistance programs went dry. Forty-two million Americans went without SNAP assistance … the FAA forced to cut back on flights all over the country … there were more than 10,000 flight delays and 5,300 flights canceled.”

Hannity said this is “real pain” — and it was completely avoidable.

“There must have been a really good reason for the Democrats shutting down the government, right?” Hannity quipped.

Turns out, there was no good reason.

And Democrats are imploding.
