President Trump lit up TRUTH Social Tuesday morning with a simple claim — California is now under a fraud investigation.
“California, under Governor Gavin Newscum, is more corrupt than Minnesota, if that’s possible??? The Fraud Investigation of California has begun. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote, using his nickname for Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The president didn’t say who is investigating California — or what, specifically, they’re investigating.
But the shot was clear: Trump is publicly lumping California into the same “corruption” lane as Minnesota — and saying the Golden State is worse.
