Since January 2025, Operation Rescue has investigated 24 abortion emergencies at completely unregulated clinics in radicalized Colorado, including the tragic death of 18-year-old Lexi Arguello, who succumbed to catastrophic complications experienced during a second trimester abortion at Planned Parenthood in Fort Collins.
In total so far, thirteen of these 24 emergencies took place at the Fort Collins Planned Parenthood, nearly every one following the death of Lexi, and still the state has refused to investigate.
How Many is Too Many?
The most recent abortion injury took place only weeks ago at the Park Hill Planned Parenthood in Denver, which is responsible for 9 of the 24 documented emergencies.

On July 24, at approximately 11:55 AM, an ambulance was called for a 25-year-old female with “acute onset of priority problems” according to a computer-aided dispatch record obtained by Operation Rescue. A note in the report states, “This complaint is related to a sudden change in level of consciousness.” The complaint code also shows a “C” or “Charlie” designation, which indicates a possible life-threatening emergency.
Though Denver refuses to release public 911 audio records that could reveal more about the changes in consciousness this woman experienced inside an unregulated, late-term abortion clinic, it is clear her situation was dire enough to require an emergency transfer for “acute symptoms” that could threaten her life.
Colorado is one of the most radically pro-abortion states in America. It no longer requires abortion clinics to be licensed, inspected, or investigated. In fact, Operation Rescue had to take the county coroner to court just to get the unredacted copy of Lexi’s autopsy, which confirmed beyond any doubt that she died of abortion complications. Again, despite this clear evidence, Planned Parenthood was given a free pass. No investigation. No discipline. No consequences.
OR and Growing Coalition Responds with #JusticeForLexi Campaign
In response to Colorado’s ongoing effort to cover up back-alley abortion operations its radical policies have created, Operation Rescue has teamed up with Life Legal Defense Foundation, Pro-Life Colorado, AAPLOG, Colorado Women’s Health & Safety, LifeNews and Justice for All to organize a public call for justice through on-the-ground outreach, education, and activism.
Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, states, “We will be going to the public sidewalks of these unregulated, late-term abortion clinics to cry out for justice for Lexi, her 22-week baby, and for the growing number of women and preborn children absolutely abandoned by the state of Colorado. These events will be peaceful, prayerful, and powerful, and we hope pro-lifers across the state will join us.”
The #JusticeForLexi campaign will kick-off with a press conference on the morning of Friday, August 28, immediately followed by a powerful prayer rally and campus outreach. The following day, two additional prayer vigils will be held at two more late-term abortion clinics, including the Park Hill Planned Parenthood where the July 24 abortion injury just took place.
