On May 5, 2026, In yet another disturbing incident at the Providence Planned Parenthood abortion facility located at 175 Broad Street, a 28-year-old woman suffered a serious medical emergency involving heavy bleeding following an abortion procedure. Emergency responders were called to the scene as the young woman hemorrhaged.
This comes just months after Operation Rescue reported on three other emergencies at the same location, two of which occurred on the same day.

Advanced Life Support Required
According to the official Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) report obtained through public records requests, paramedics and fire department personnel responded to the clinic for the young woman in distress. The CAD explicitly notes that ALS (Advanced Life Support) intervention was necessary, likely due to heavy post-abortion bleeding.
Advanced Life Support is typically reserved for medical emergencies requiring a higher level of care, including life-threatening bleeding, airway compromise, cardiac concerns, or other potentially critical conditions.
While City of Providence officials once again withheld the actual 911 audio recordings, some of the unredacted dispatch details confirm the emergency involved significant complications consistent with life-threatening hemorrhage.
Secrecy over Safety
Rhode Island’s restrictive public records laws, under the Access to Public Records Act and specific statutes governing 911 communications (such as R.I. Gen. Laws § 39-21.1-17), make it nearly impossible to obtain audio files of emergency calls without the caller’s consent or a court order.
“This veil of secrecy protects abortion providers like Planned Parenthood from accountability yet leaves the public—and especially vulnerable women—in the dark about the true risks of abortion,” says Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The city routinely releases only heavily redacted CAD reports, stripping away critical details about the nature and severity of complications, all while claiming to prioritize ‘privacy.’ In reality—as we have said many times—this prevents public accountability and proper oversight, and allows the cartel to continue operating with impunity.”
A Serious Reminder
The incident serves as yet another reminder that women undergoing abortions can face serious and sometimes life-threatening complications—complications that abortion facilities and their political allies seek to keep hidden and are reluctant to discuss publicly.
This latest hemorrhage case—serious enough to require full Advanced Life Support—is part of a troubling pattern. Many medical emergencies have been documented in recent months in multiple states, with ambulances dispatched for complications “after procedure,” including serious cases of hemorrhaging that likely stem from uterine perforations or incomplete abortions.
Newman continues, “These are common injuries in the abortion industry. Facilities claim to offer ‘safe and compassionate’ care yet they require repeated emergency interventions, including Advanced Life Support-level responses. Young women with their lives before them should not be subjected to such dangers. Worse yet, many of these so-called clinics delay calling 911 or request no sirens or lights to avoid suspicion.”
Operation Rescue has consistently exposed how abortion facilities across the nation hide behind redacted records and legal barriers to conceal the harm done to women. Earlier this week, Operation Rescue released the unredacted autopsy of an 18-year-old Colorado girl who died in February 2025 after a catastrophic abortion complication. It took over a year and a court order to obtain the undredacted, public record that confirmed abortion complications to be the cause of death.
“We pray for this young Rhode Island woman, and the numerous others who are walking into abortion clinics across this nation only to leave on a stretcher,” Newman adds. “We must continue to expose the truth and to challenge state and city officials who are actively hiding the dangers and repercussions of abortion. States should be protecting their citizens, not letting them wander into dangerous abortion clinics at their own risk.”
