‘Glamour’ Believes Nine Men Add Up to Woman of the Year

It’s Women of the Year time over at Glamour UK and the award this year goes to nine men. Not a one of them is an actual woman, but the editors made their announcement under the ridiculous cover title “The Dolls.”

Yes dolls, as in make-believe girls.

Each of these men are weirdly wearing “Protect the Dolls” t-shirts to accentuate their skimpy teen-girl outfits.

The article announcing the award informs us, “‘Protect the Dolls’ is a positive sentiment but … we must all ask ourselves what does protection entail?” They answer it with this mind-blowing question,

“What does it look like in a society so utterly consumed with the degradation of a group of women who are often struggling to make ends meet, to get the healthcare they need and to try and pursue lives that contain at least some capacity for happiness and joy?”

Do the Glamour editors not appreciate the vast irony here? The degradation of women is what Glamour is doing here, throwing up nine men, who for whatever reason, want us to praise them for their “bravery” in masquerading as women. The “healthcare they need” is medicating and cutting their perfectly healthy male bodies so that they mimic the feminine.

The fiercely brave J.K. Rowling had the best take on this madness, stating on X, “I grew up in an era when mainstream women’s magazines told girls they needed to be thinner and prettier” adding, “Now mainstream women’s magazines tell girls that men are better women than they are.”

Rowling is precisely right.

This silliness mirrors USA Today infamously awarding a man their Woman of the Year in 2022. This spectacle also comes six months after the UK Supreme Court had the clarity to reject baseless gender ideology in a landmark ruling and hold that the legal definition of woman is plainly what it is, determined by biology.

The Glamour feature is accompanied by a 14-minute video of these men explaining how difficult it is to be appear like a woman called “Glamour’s Girlhood Firsts.” These “girlhood firsts” are in fact intentional deceptions that happened in the midst of their developing manhood. But we are supposed to act like this is all perfectly normal and worthy of our admiration.

It is not. It is misogynist appropriation, the erasure of womanhood and femininity. There is nothing glamorous about men playing at being women. Glamour has betrayed the very women it claims it exists for.

This madness will stop when every person who knows what a woman and man are stop pretending that they don’t. Live not by lies.
